I was tempted to sell some of my holding today, fearing another drubbing after the AGM tomorrow. However decided that for once there might be a positive reaction. It's a big gamble against my better judgement. Just hoping that Simões doesn't spook the market again!

This news has gone down like a lead balloon. Just like Simoes's strategy last year, which included the reduction in the dividend to 2%.

Ah well, at least Aviva and Lloyds continue to storm ahead, in tune with the FTSE.

Another disappointing Monday for L&G share price!! FT article says Simones has bought something? CEO's performance is largely determined by share price. Simones had a pretty poor record since he started almost a year ago year.

I'm glad that my capital losses in this company are offset by gains in Aviva and Lloyds.

Another blue Monday. Yes for the FTSE but red for L&G again. What's caused the fall this time?

No growth here with LGEN. In the red again when the FTSE is continuing the rebound. I backed the wrong horse, should have kept Aviva, up well today. He ho.

FTSE up a bit. LGEN in the red again. Let's have some good news on this stock for a change.

As predicted. I do hope those seasoned investors have avoided the 'Dead Cat Bounce'

Exactly Finlay1. Never catch a falling knife, and be careful of the dead cat bounce. I see some novices were buying on Friday!!

I suppose this crash was bound to happen at some point, but good to get it over with and reap the benefits.

Dividends are never guaranteed, particularly when the share price is stagnant around small ups and downs. For me it has become a good day trading stock, similar to mining stock. Buy at the close when it usually drops significantly and sell when the market opens.

I see Phoenix and Aviva are doing well. L&G was up nicely when I left for work. Back home and its down and continuing to underperform the FTSE as per usual!!

As expected with this dog another fall on results as it does every year. Unlike Aviva streaking ahead. They know how to run a good company.

Next up another big fall on ex dividend day and continuing to bumble along at the bottom of the pile.

Don't hold your breath. Nice rise yesterday but back on the slide today. Results day usually generates a big fall in the share price. Hope its different this time around. Zero growth in the last 10years for LGEN whilst Aviva storms ahead.

It's early in the day. It should slide after the results sink in. Hope not.

Oh dear, more words from a die hard dividend seeker. I invested heavily in his share 5 years ago upon my retirement hoping for a steadily increasing dividend and share price. However since then this dog has fallen 23% whilst the FTSE has risen 19% to an all time high. I have worked out that the net gain on dividend returns is 2.3%. over that period. This takes into account inflation and dividend tax, of which I now pay 33% on one third of the dividend thanks to successive Chancellors. This is poor performance in anyone's book despite any due diligence undertaken.

The FTSE is at an all time high ffs, as this dog continues to underperform. Clearly UBS don't have a clue and are ignored by the market. Every time Simoes sells more assets and opens his mouth the share price tanks. "He's gotte go". For those income diehards the dividend cannot be sustainable in the long term, particularly when there is an inevitable correction in the FTSE and the share price falls even further. Then there's results day next month when the share price usually falls sharply before further falls on

Ex dividend day.

I get it now. This basketcase has sold off more of its US assets to some shark and the price had tanked during the day when reality sinks in. So, as predicted it's now lower than last week's share price of £2.42. What a joke!!

Should be back to where it was a week ago at close!! And further falls next week I expect. No surprises there then. He ho!!

Falling back rapidly sharply after a welcome boost on opening. Back to square one from Monday possibly? Suppose I've got to be thankful for small short term mercies!?

What's all this talk about dividends? Dont forget to factor in inflation and the taxman. Also the share price always falls more than the dividend. And falls further when results are out. Share buybacks certainly haven't returned anything back to investors as promised and the share price continues to seriously underperform the FTSE. All in all a pretty dismal situation. When are we going to see this company turn things around and instill some confidence in the market. The last 5 years have been particularly disappointing.
