RE: Sell Nasdaq; buy FTSE high yielders?17 Dec 2025 12:11
Guitarsolo,
I am flattered that you keep a close watch on me.
HMRC will want tax on dividends above £500 at 10.75%. My dividend income is just below the higher threshold of the higher rate of 33.75% as my dividends are less than £50,000. I also keep the maximum allowances in ISA'S, which are exempt from tax.
I still hold a lot of LGEN, but decided it wasn't going anywhere soon, so am fortunate to have sold some down to buy PHNX and Aviva, which are consistently outperforming LGEN. Each to their own.
