By way of contrast and encouragement board members here might be interested in the latest RNS from SOLG and the impact it can have on sp. An RNS from OMI with good drilling results and high assay figures could easily lift the sp by 50% in 24hrs. As it happens the SOLG results are nothing special so far. Having persevered with SOLG and made money I am inclined to do the same here and therefore one has to accept the slings and arrows of AIM.....like dilution.

I was left a little deflated by the RNS. How will the market react? Well it is looking like a tier one asset so hopefully with some enthusiasm. Personally I would like to see more drilling results and some higher assay numbers.

This might have some impact on EU markets and the gold price later today when US markets open.

Thanks, funnily enough I invested some money in CAPD yesterday as I thought the contract award might see their sp lift. CEY I hope will recover towards 160p a share which is my planned exit point having bought in the last few weeks. As a point of debate I am trying to invest in miners and those who supply the mining companies with hardware or services.

I have just added 2,000 more on little more than a hunch, a gut feeling that this is under valued and under the radar.

I read the RNS on CEY and then decided to dabble here with a modest punt expecting more of a sp rise on the news. The spread and the muted response from markets a bit of disappointment but having done a little research via FT portfolio I am happy to hold for a few months and see what transpires. I also hold a modest wedge in CEY purchased a few weeks back as I feel there is a potential 50% in 2021. Holding both company maybe spreads the risk a little.

Capital....any thoughts?

The best one can say is that it improves the company profile with investors. I agree it is a bit of a non RNS. Hoping for better news on Phase 3 in 2021 which will/may drive the sp up if it is promising.

I just bought 10,000 more bringing my weighted average down to 26p. While I am not happy at the share dilution announced this week I am a pragmatist and willing to wait for the drilling and assay results to arrive.

LTD....and others thanks for your views on prospects. I see what you mean now, the land ownership does complicate a quick bid and since TC is a major holder (I did not appreciate it was 25%) its not going for pennies but pounds at some point in the future. Holding and watching for developments.

Time will tell as to whether he was correct. I am not sure Trice could enthuse backers to finance a buyout of HUR even at these prices after the fiasco of this year. We need another 6 months of steady production and some progress on the geology of the reservoirs and what might be recovered from them.

P1D....nicely up again today clearly rumours in Madrid of progress or hope of it!.

Par for the course imo, small mining and exploration shares were always volatile and frustrating to hold but if you pick a sound one and are patient then the rewards are very good and make up for the dogs.
SOLG is no dog, we all just have to be patient, and yes some might trade it up and down as a side bet to the main event. The main event I suspect will be a bid from a major in the not too distant future. Copper is hot, gold not so much but SOLG appears to have both in abundance.

Recent events in Iran might provoke a response from Tehran. It may well be that Israel is hoping that Iran will react in order to encourage President Trump to take one final risky swing onto the political 18th green.....but there are bunkers all around it!.

DrRemington......just a few minutes before markets opened this morning I predicted just that.....a share placing and dilution. By luck and coincidence it happened today but it was always likely. Others with experience of trading on AIM also predicted share dilution at some point in the OMI story.

I am with MEM on this, do not panic sell your shares this morning. The one thing the little people (us) have on their side is that there are not that many shares in circulation and its unlikely the bigger institutions are going to sell so sit tight.

This is something of a tree shake to scare off the private investors prior to the stream of drilling and assay results emerging.

Broadly agree with mrc but would add the outside chance of a takeover bid from a larger player priced around 50p.

A small number of people here can forecast the financial weather through experience and a modicum of intelligence, some of you simply complain about it all day long and the rest listen and consider their options.

A dilution was always likely and your options are to suck it up and subscribe if that is an option or accept the dilution in your stake. By all means e mail the company and complain but this is an AIM stock and they can do this to you.....sometimes more than once if you are a LTH.
