According to Cardiff University this stuff kills Covid19 within 30 seconds of exposure. Just bought 3000 shares as a punt. I suspect others will not be far behind so a good day to add early perhpas?

What with the EU kerfuffle and another US money printing exercise on the way one would assume this was all good for gold price in the longer term. That said imo the gold price is rigged by paper trades so would not be surprised to see a dip in price before Christmas on the vaccine euphoria wave.

One advantage of throwing in a contrarian post now and again is that noise aside others will put the case for and against. Eldorado below has made a couple of good posts below summing up the current situation. On balance, I am turning into a long term holder of OMI and planning to add to my modest punt later this week.

I have no precise explanation for why a share in a gold mining company with tier one resources is fading off recent highs but at some point this becomes a bargain. My original and recent punt started at 18p but I do not expect that big a drop from here. Getting seriously tempted to punt some more cash on what seems a good long term mining stock soon ish. Maybe tomorrow?

Could be, do not know for sure but I have stuck it out here because they have good technology and cash flow from sales and earnings. I am still well in the red, no pun intended, but holding and waiting for more orders and news.

A recent positive RNS, an interesting range of drugs in the pipeline yet the sp is down.....again!

Pricing the dip, somewhere in the low twenties then? Fair enough, thanks for the info I will review buying more towards the end of the week. Technical views aside the sp could pop on any good news from an RNS but suspect that is a weeks rather than days from now.

Take over....especially when CEY is trading at a relatively low price and has no significant debt according to the FT tearsheet:
"Centamin PLC has little financial risk as the capital structure does not rely on leverage."

I am tempted to buy the dip here but unsure as to where the support level might be having only recently started buying here at 18p. The potential exciting enough that I am not panicking about the recent volatility as I did top slice a bit so have cash to re invest. The question is at what price?

Mrtibbles it was this one but I am something of a contrarian punter so did not give it too much weight in my decision to buy a few here. My main holding SOLG, a bit in OMI and until recently HL.

It all helps as they say and I am glad that IMM is not entirely a one trick pony as I have a deal riding on it!

I have followed but not invested in CEY but just now entered the game with just 2000 shares as I think there may be some good news on the way next week as discussed below. That said, the chart and technical indicators are not encouraging and suggest CEY a sell so this is something of a punt.

Clearly the shorters have not gone away as I hoped although they have been a bit worried by the uptick. It is Friday and some players close their trades at end of week, there has been no news either way from HUR on production rates etc so not surprised the sp has been knocked back. Shares rise up the stairs but drop in an elevator sort of analogy? I do not think HUR quite a the stairway to heaven but I am still expecting to recoup losses.

Hi Taverham, funny one can look at it in different ways. I was very impressed and relieved about the profit margin and not so bothered by the lower production given that the mine is in a remote bit of Brazil and the country has suffered from covid. I was expecting the sp to rise but we will find out very shortly?

VOG doubled today after some good news. HUR has been hit by some very bad news over the past year.
That is not to say that HUR may not yet get more bad news but.....any substantial bit of good news could drive a substantial re rate in sp so here's hoping. I am no more than cautiously optimistic.

If the USA fund a strategic uranium reserve then sooner or later the EU will consider something similar. As and when the permits are issued here I will re invest in BKY. If you have held then hold and pray that some sanity returns to the decision makers in Madrid!
