All relative I suppose as the FTSE 100 dropped 3% in one of the days but I am disappointed by the fading sp today despite no bad news etc. My holding in OXB similarly disappointing and they had an RNS today.
Always good to see HUR in the blue but I need a 100% rise in current sp to break even. Not impossible but it will be a close run thing. I suspect a more likely option is a bid in a few months time at around 3p! I am glad I stop lossed earlier but remain willing to consider another punt if and when the news changes for the better.
The sad thing about nuclear energy in Europe is that Spain under Franco was relatively early in investing in nuclear power. 50 years on "Spanish Democracy" has left the country with a "retired" rotten old King, a Royal Family on the take, corrupt politicians and now a bunch of eco left wing idiots running the show in Madrid! Spain ought to be promoting Nuclear Power as a zero carbon base load provider of electricity and exploiting the uranium resources under its feet!
Ontarget before buying a share I go onto my FT account and add it to a virtual portfolio then take a look at the finances and forecasts. The latter not really of use if only one or two agencies providing a forecast but like you I was impressed by the fact that while small EVG does have cash to continue its work for a while yet so took a punt. I might get lucky, I hope others here do too.
Seems encouraging....might we close above £9 today? Somehow I doubt it and suspect we might have to wait a year or two to see £10 again despite the science, the news, the production capabilities etc. I had foolishly hoped for a bid here months back but no sniff of any interest that I can detect.
I was struck by the wording of this RNS and the fact that the assay results have not yet been published. Is this part of the magician preparing the audience for a flash, bang cloud of smoke and hey presto a pile of gold? I rather think it is and suspect there is frantic activity behind the scenes with JV, go it alone plans and best take over offers flashing across the screens of the senior management. Exciting times and not too late to buy more imo!
Hi I am new here, bought a few shares here today. So reference the redundancy programme and 9,000 staff going how many of them are MPs, MEPs and Congressman? They should go first, they cost more.
Buyers? Me, today in a very modest way. EVG an interesting company at an early and risky stage of development but in this climate the P2/3 trials may not take too long so worth a punt.
P1D yep pretty much how I feel too.....a change of government likely given the covid chaos but until BKY gets a change in the political weather this is going nowhere....other than possibly further down. I am sat on the sidelines and will keep watching.
Are manipulated by paper trades from the Banksters!!!! Add to the list above J P Morgan fined $900 million.....and was that money returned to the thousands of small investors who had lost out to these bankster scum? Of course not, but now and again the little people get invested ahead of the big players and enjoy a win. SOLG is perhaps such a case.
Sometimes being a small player can be a good thing hence today a very slight drop in sp despite a sea of red in the markets. True BP did quite well too but then it has dropped mightily this year. Still cautiously optimistic about PMG and my other oil punts!.
Sold 20,000 early today to raise cash for other things but when I saw how far SOLG had dropped bought 30,000 just now. Few day trade and some might think this dumb but by selling opportunistically now and again one can take advantage of a market over reaction which is what I think this is.
Hi Nolupus yes I can see your point, unlikely to be binned off on the science just wish it would get approved this week! That said given the state of the markets had the RNS arrived today it would have been swamped by all the bad news.
RE: Expecting a significant drop this morning!28 Oct 2020 08:25
Share be I was going to suggest that 180p would be a great entry point but then reminded myself that others were saying that about 250p and above! Who knows? I don't believe BP will go bust but yes a Biden win might drop the sp to 180p or below. I consider myself lucky to be facing single digit losses here on a modest punt.
Re the US elections its going to be messy and the markets volatile but I would not panic if there was a BP drop in sp as I believe it would be short lived. To conclude, recently bought 3000 shares and as of yesterday down 5%, I would consider buying a few more.
Starting to worry and wonder when or if the FDA will approve the P3 trial proposals? Is the delay really all down to Covid or are there scientific concerns about the trial set up?
