Tildo.....on the money, we need an RNS tomorrow with pos news about the court case or it will fall back. I am expecting volatility because that is common with AIM listed miners but hell it is an exciting ride!
Agree, just bought 1,000 shares and may well add more if CCJ closes Cigar Lake mine due to Covid19. Uranium might, might be at the start of a bull run but there have been other false dawns.
If you want to know what might happen here in a year or two compare what is going on at KAZ today.
Big money and players will get control of SOLG sooner or later. I admire the push to get the company into production but am not convinced NM will get the chance to see it through.
Quady I would temper your position by adding that NM "hopes" to take SOLG into production. The AGM and vote might see things going in a different direction.
SOLG remains my major holding despite top slicing and I have an average of 25p so smugly in the blue. But I am coming around to the view that the AGM and developments stemming from it might make SOLG a strong buy at sub 40p. There is an oddity about the stalled sp given the recent good news and I wonder as others have below if a buyer is assembling their forces for a take over? Copper, is hotter than gold and SOLG has both in abundance if one believes the reports.
Another good day for CCJ and UUUU yesterday with a further 10% rise in price. Unfortunately, without permits BKY cannot enjoy the same.....has someone in Madrid woken up to the possibilities of Spain having the only Uranium mine in the EU? Apparently not but it could happen in 2021.
The initial market reaction (OK only 10 mins old) is underwhelming.... I think they are expecting or hoping for a bid for SOLG in the near future. The drilling results are something of a given perhaps?
CCJ and UUUU had a finish to the week on news from the USA about uranium stocks and gov action. It is such a shame that BKY does not have the permits because Uranium Miners could become the investment darlings of green and ethical investors a big sector of the market these days. Unfortunately Spanish Politicians are so stupid and corrupt they fail to appreciate what an asset they are blocking.
RE: New Analysis on Yellow Cake & Uranium spot market5 Dec 2020 06:19
Yep, just read an article on ZH reporting that US uranium stocks finally started to lift off last week with UUUU up 17% and CCJ 10%. I am more likely to buy back into the sector including here now that prices and interest is warming up.
Quality, I took advantage of the drop yesterday to buy a modest stake because I hold other PM shares and in reading around the subject HOC was considered one of the better punts by commentators. I sold my CEY and purchased here because I believe the sp will bounce back towards 220p pretty quickly.
Well it is certainly a step in the right direction and I am glad I added at 23p, 20p and 19p because my average now not far above where we are this morning.
It might well happen but I would roll my profits from SOLG into BHP shares. Follow the money and the resource, if BHP get SOLG relatively cheap in the next few months that would be a set back but not the end of the world. Only a few AIM penny share mining companies transform themselves into medium sized producers under their own steam or money.
Yes but took profits at 50p and left BKY as the Spanish Gov has refused thus far to grant the last permits required to construct the mine. When the permits are granted and construction work starts then worth a punt perhaps, dyor etc.
I sold CEY for a modest profit and purchased 2000 HOC with the proceeds. I have followed the company through the news for a while and was tempted to enter at a fraction over 200p a share today. Clearly still risks here with so much of the company in one family's hands but willing to give it 6 months and see.
Maybe he needed the cash to buy some Christmas presents for his family? I am tempted to buy at these prices as HOC a great company but already over invested in PM miners elsewhere.
BB talk is cheap, price of oil is at $48 and HUR is still pumping and delivering oil and cash. If the production figures hold up or improve then a re rate on the reservoirs likely in 2021 and the sp will take off.
