Well you know these guys were relatively senior and both certainly knew the assets and should have known the viability that has now crystallised for EOG!! However TBH they probably just looked at age and determined from their 'bigger picture' perspective that the assets wouldnt provide the returns they were 'used to'. It was only throw away comments as well, which I should have asked further on but, true to my lazy nature (and cost lol) didn't bother lol!! I also thought that we could 'push' new pipeline through the existing anyway (worse case) which would still be significantly cheaper than buying and laying new!! However regardless of that, I'm well well happy to be here and well excited about prospects!! Whilst there are significant risks involved I don't think I can identify more upside for this valuation anywhere!! Just wish my balls were as big as GG though lol! Best of luck all.

Gibbers, Yes but oil much more profitable atbtjus time and in the horizons we need to produce. Anyway if the Expert cared to look a little closer yes an oil prospect discovery BUT ALSO with significant gas prospects in the (Triassic) Sherwood sandstone ffs (does anyone recognise the relevance of that lol!) It was originally marketed as gas prospect but ironically is worth more to the mkt as an oil discovery imho! I wasn't even comparing these specific prospects against one another. I said it was a good quality prospect (some 40 km from the Corrib field!!) and what I was saying was that it may be concerning that this hadn't been snapped up yet but wasn't sure of the full mktg position because as I'm sure everyone is aware sqz are VERY busy. They do seem to have been seeking partners there for quite a long time lol!! Ffs wtgr a little knowledge is VERY dangerous in this game and let me be very clear I do not proclaim to have any real knowledge at all, compared to real experts but, this guy just wants to jump down my throat all the time when his proclaimed time lines and theories have come to f all so far, whereas it was me who was questioning his time lines quoted and even then the viability of some of the prospects. Hopefully people can see there are other prospects around and our own Corrib play isn't a banged on certainty however, as earlier stated by me, it has a good chance and is 'probably' one of our more likely ones to get farmed down. This guy claims to have me filtered on adv and here but always accidentally somehow manages to read my posts. He has completely mis understood my points which weren't in any way critical to him or EOG, i saw them as helpful indicators of what else is in mkt and how long they have been mkted for. Well there u go. A post office master knows more about o&g than me, who is able to retire early and then turn down 2 6 figure salary packages this year already? Surely it is very simple, you see who is posting then because they are filtered stop reading, rather than read, misunderstand basic economics of how the o&g industry works and then go on to accuse me of posting drivel lol. I will not even bother to reply to to try and explain why his comments are just so so wrong, lol!! Again I think some people on here are just way too emotional for this game. Hi guys I have probably spent similar to GG (or more) lol but hold a lot less!! Well done to having the b******s to buying so early! Ironically I held back buying because I had (ex) colleagues advising me against the pipeline purchase as they knew it very well lol so very pleasantly surprised with the integrity testing etc. results. Either way very happy with the volume I've got and may catch up with GG if other stocks come good! Best of luck all!

I totally agree Antony but got a little spooked again, ahem, this week with Serica results. I don't know how hard they are mktg their Slyne prospects but they 'appear' good quality (compared to ours imho) and they had absolutely no news on these. Obviously they are incredibly busy with other stuff (lol) so maybe an incorrect inference? My own experience in BD is that by now some serious conversations would have taken place if everything so compelling. However important to note if they haven't, that does not mean there will not be a lot of blind 'offers' because assets so 'good'. I just get the feeling we are not in that ballpark so hope there have been meaningful communications. Of course it is a bloody tight rope with regard to mkt communications for Hugh, so I do have some sympathy with his position but equally, am upset that it seems we have slept walked into this difficult situation as well. Either way only four weeks to wait hopefully!!

Thanks for answer dick. That was perfectly detailed and was just hoping you had large enough numbers to offset the xel debacle! Do you work in o&g? In my long and varied career I have worked with and met the seniors of 2 of your 3 oil companies and can say my 'preference' (bwtfdik!) to experience in the business etc would be with sqz but of course all 3 have excellent well respected mgt teams! We all have different investment criteria and whilst I can see good reasons and justifications for your choices I hold neither. I think my favourite ones at mmt are iog, trin and (very much) gamble money eog!! I may buy some more sqz over the coming weeks as and when investment funds allow but do hold quite a few (for me!) already. Best of luck all.
