LTH a better question would be, what happens to the global squid population if Phase 3 goes ahead? Would VELA go up even if squids go down and would that mean our £2.4m gets part used for building new cow sheds?

Social media can help but it doesn't re-rate stocks. VELA should have some presence as today, its as fundamental to having a website or picking up the phone if some calls reception.

VELAs approach appears to be that investors can pick up news via its investee companies.

On ARCADIA, VELA will be bound by confidentiality and silence from all side right now is a good sign. Last update from SGS, Excalibur and other listed companies said commercial negotiations are in play. Those discussions must be ongoing otherwise an RNS is required to state otherwise.

LTH you might be able to have a go at that yourself. But whatever number you arrive at, its not that simple. You could argue SGS made a very substantial profit on the sale because how did the 8% of AZD excess of £20 odd million get priced in the first place? It's a bit like me saying you can pay me £100k cash and 10% interest in your house for a 5% stake in my new Flying Taxi business. I then sell the 10% interest in your house at the earliest opportunity to bag the cash, which is what I really wanted/needed in the first place.

I see SGS wanting cash and sustaining revenue, so expect a royalty to be part of the exit strategy. Feel sorry for those unable to hold their VELA shares. They are likely to feel quite sick when they see the shares go on a run.

It realised cash and those shares were gobbled up by insiders - and your regular Peterhouse clients didn't get a look in because they'd otherwise be ramping the bjesus out of this on Twitter. I'm more inclined to read the press releases, follow Chris Evans further buys into ARCADIA just weeks before trial ended, sovereign wealth investments to ARCADIA and receptions at No.10. That's following the money and the experts.

Methinks there's some understanding or commercial terms that state that so long as AZs offer is fair and reasonable, SGS/Exc will deal rather than generate a bidding war given AZD waa bought as part of AZs Open Innovation programme. Also UK Gov positive relationship with AZ sighted when Gov invested in trial. So I think all the right players and grown ups involved.

Almost impossible not to get a further RNS on AZD this month so sit back and relax. Plenty of work and conversation taking place every day. If the market could see it, I'm confident VELAs stock will be suffering a bout of FOMO.

Indeed no little pump will reach 0.15p so for new investors here it's good news. The warrants either implode or there's great re-rate worthy news that bags the share price, in which case warrant holders and dump as much as they like - it won't stop the share price.

Only saving grace is the astronomical gas price and the fact PET has been able to develop its technology in the interim at a time the world has pivoted hard toward the solutions PET brings. You might find yourself holding an absolute uber bagger when this deal is done. All the regulatory / listing documentation stuff has probably dragged everything out be hopeful we see a proper RNS next month.
