I disagree cruckie. There is no evidence a share price rises immediately before an RNS least of all on AIM - in fact, if you haven't seen a dip the day before an RNS you haven't been doing this very long.

I do believe Harry has lost the trust of the market in general in all sorts of ways given repeated statements made regarding proximity to closing and formalities etc. He might yet do the deal but personally, I had to reassess and given there's a plethora of other opportunities out there effectively competing for your investment, had move to on. If I miss the 'big one' then so be it but fingers crossed for those that remain with their positions.

I suspect Harry will announce placing and then at the same time and the next day put out news on Hawiah to give placees a good start.

Short term hold actually. Whether you want to hold long term is optional but I intend to reassess as do many when then AZD updates land.

Position taken and held until AZD deal establishes the true price of VELA. Prevailing price is just a product of MMs, warrant flips and short term behaviour = meaningless from potential value perspective. Easy to wait a few hours or days for an update or the deal itself.

JN is in no place to pump this to benefit warrant holders in respect of AZD indeed. What your WHs might be doing is pleading with their begging bowls for an extension to exercise especially in the knowledge that a positive outcome might bag the share price. I imagine success or failure of such pleas will depend on whether there's any influencial investors in the pack.

Hector, the movement of the sp is a short term phenomena whatever the final outcome. There's the 'news', which was generally positive in respect of AZD and then a market sell off into volume aided by warrants because many players were in profit. Now we have low volume and a few PIs very likely getting bored and selling into a heavily retraced sp.

Don't get me wrong - there's risk and uncertainty. We all know this and can read the RNSs - further analysis, commercialisation discussions etc. What's the ultimate value to VELA?

We sit in this dynamic until the market knows the answer. Fundamentals are not crystallised and therefore MMs and a few other short term trading decisions based on no new news dictates the current sp.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good deramp as they say ;)

Unclejim and his other IDs/cohorts just can't accept the fact he gyrates to the mood of the short term market in all its forms. It's not his fault.

Every week more research connecting short and long term COVID outcomes to organ inflammation and damage. AZD responds to both and of course, has acute benefit to diabetics. One hopes the data is as good as the RNS stated and the peer review is gold standard. If that's the case, it must be a 'no brainer' for emergency use. Seriously, what's 8% in AZD worth then?

VELA pumped £2.35m into AZD last year for 8% over and above £20 odd million. SGSs mission was very clear on how to monetise upon a successful Phase II. So anyone thinking the rewards are measured in just the tens of millions is mistaken - just look at how VELA will get paid. It's big pharma, big investors and big hitters - we small fish are in the dark on many points but we all know there is immense urgency and the right backers to get this done quickly and for the right numbers.

From a risk perspective at current share price with whats in the pipeline, I view it has higher risk to sell than to hold/buy. Nice place to be with a whole bunch of warrants about to get wiped out and VELA's £2.35m into AZD about to multiply in value.

If those warrant holders want to see themselves in the money before expiry, they should really get buying to pump up the share price :) Anyway, a solid AZD1656 deal with AZ and there'll be no stopping the share price regardless of button mashing warrant holders. The cash generated will just feed the marketcap.
