Business will be sold <3 weeks, same as Kinross' Russian assets for $680m. Unsolicited offers immediately received following its 2nd March announcement to transition out of Russia and suspend operations. Fortiana / Highland emerged victorious. Difference is POG CEO et al already know Highland and Fortiana given they sold the former to the latter. Denisov's appointment clearly to bring in additional relationships.

Price is 2.5p not 25p for all this fear already priced in. More PIs have tuned in today because the formal 'for sale' sign was hoisted that's all. Now everyone's trying to weigh up the odds and price. As I've said many a time over weeks, selling the business and leaving western exchange was inevitable and likely advanced.

Other minor detail the bb ratz forgot to assimilate is that the blocked debt payments = cash remaining in POGs accounts.

POG holds cash with a number of banks in Russia and has not announced suspension of mining at any location so I presume the company is accumulating more gold ready for immediate sale.

Comes down to whether you, as an investor, reckon POG can sell this for 10p+. I do because the market cap is less than one quarter's EBITDA and there's clearly multiple parties trying to buy gold assets as per Kinross' experience. Suspension is irrelevant. There's no benefit to remaining listed on western exchanges now and it won't stop the sale of this business being announced later this month or early next.

Is what I estimate for sale announcement, same as Kinross except much bigger and better reserves, production and mine life at POG. So don't get excited by icebergs.

POG free cash in one quarter exceeds the market cap, so I'm pretty comfortable it won't be sold at 2.5p. Let MMs run out of shares again.

I'd fall off my chair if discussions weren't ongoing about disposal. AP assisting POG on the debt part. If Kinross can get multiple unsolicited offers and sell in less than a month, so can POG. Now we just wait for the offer price.

This was firesale price and works out for operating Kupol mine at $650Moz per reserve oz, where total is c.1.25Moz.

POG much larger reserves at over 7Moz.

The stock didn't hit 1.5p to buy for more than a flash and NT. Most that bought at 1.6-1.8p, also subject to regular NT lockdowns, sold out.

maybe SH had call with POG and got slightly carried away so arguably an educated guess on positive outcome.

Sentiment today is the conflict is continuing with no immediate signs of stopping, with the west pushing Mr Z to continue on for years. Renewed talk of a peace settlement therefore will be positive for the share price. With all this going on, don't lose sight of the fact POG is working to resolve its own issues - the sales offtake and debt obligation both tied to GPM. An update on discussion progress or actual positive result (if that's the case), bags the stock. Then of course, there's always the possibility of unsolicited offers.

You're always about a week behind tbf, bit like the media. At the minute, the US/UK/NATO doing a fine job of egging on Mr Z - their wet dream is for this to carry on for years like Afghanistan. But maybe there needs to be more fighting before returning to the table with a draft resolution that hasn't been defaced by Blinken, BJ and Stoltenberg.
