Abrdn snaps up stake in London crypto startup Archax
'The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, will see Abrdn become the crypto startup’s largest external shareholder, the crypto firm said in a statement.
Launched in 2018, Archax is currently the first and only firm that has gained approval to launch a digital securities exchange from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

FG noted in an email to me that one of QBT's Quantum team had studied with one of Xanadu's founders.

QBT are not attempting to build a Quantum Computer as this technology is already available. QBT are attempting to utilize this tech for Bitcoin mining and blockchain applications (as I understand it) as well as the other advancements which include their patent pending Asic UltraBoost.

I've sent the link to QBT but rather than watch the webcast I'm off to the Beach (well off to play with my Heron Dingy at the Beach and drink cold Beer :)

As I recall it wasn't an RNS that propelled Argo, more that BTC went on a massive charge and a rising tide lifts all boats

There were far less publicly traded miners at the time and Argo was the only UK listed which helped it's rise when comparing MARA and RIOT MCAPS and BTC Production
If we get very good news I'd expect a significant initial rise followed by a steady increase as new investors take interest in QBT and take positions but wtfdik.

Actually that may have been my story ....
I had a little over £20k in argo at around 5p when it went to it's highs I was around 1m usd up and I was reluctant to sell because I thought I would be clobbered with the tax (not in an ISA)
As it turned out I held and got clobbered even harder lol
Life and investing it would seem are one long lesson :-)

I'm no longer in touch with him, I got a twitter ban and decided there were better places to spend my time than on there :-)

FG replied to my email (I send QBT industry info that may be of interest) QBT are very familiar with the Xanadu product and although the original quantum device was design for the solution of a very specific problem, the general purpose transition looks potentially interesting.
