Obviously QBT are not included (yet) but I think it helps to get an idea of what companies mining costs really are and how these PLC's compare.

I suppose this is also a list of companies that QBT could be looking to work with in the future or disrupt ?

I suppose my thoughts would be this will keep increasing, probably at a faster rate with immersion becoming more popular and the big boys will be keen to seek out any advantages they can.

Argo/ Intel would be a good example

Like the Core Scientific CEO stated they are in a disruptive industry so they should be mindful that they could also be disrupted.

Obviously hope QBT are the disruptors in BTC mining and perhaps into a wider market ;-)

Terra Pool mines 5 blocks on a 24 hr period could mean a number of things (the website has the wrong BTC price so hash rate is out the window):

1: ARB have just got extremely lucky
2: Someone like CORZ ( they mine about 6 blocks a day)has decided to become a Founding Member and switched pools
3: Some 20 hrs after posting a tweet about new rigs arriving and waiting to power on and start install ARB have managed to powered up and installed new the rigs while still benefiting from existing CORZ hosted rigs.

One thing for certain is that if Terra Pool continues there will be ZERO chance of me getting in on the cheap lol

IMO there is a chance that any delay in 'power on' at Helios could affect mining. The Core Scientific swap amounts to circa 60% of Argo's mining fleet as per previous ARB RNS.
Yesterdays tweet shows rigs have arrived (not powered up) so CORZ will have presumably taken over the Argo rigs.

60% of missing hash could become an issue without ongoing clarification of the situation.

Might present a buying opportunity if mining results take a big and protracted dive (all imo)

As I see it the bond holders were in no rush, like the direction the company has taken and the progress it has made, were in no mind to put any unnecessary financial pressure on the company during this important phase and felt the court case monies (if awarded) could be put to better use by FG.

They may see further opportunities down the road and perhaps be looking to take large positions as things progress...

That would be my thinking

TBH I haven't been watching 'unknown blocks' recently...

I've been distracted with a couple of crypto's that have been doing ok (not easy in this market !) and even offering some advice to a tiddler of a crypto project that I like.

Core Scientific March update reported no requests to power down in any locations...

The time it took to go from into service to full operating capacity was something that caught my eye and I suppose begs the question what is the new rig delivery schedule and will there be disruption as rigs are delivered and installation takes months... Just my thoughts..

Infrastructure:
Core Scientific’s 100 MW Grand Forks, ND data center, placed into service in November 2021, reached full operating capacity in March. Other data centers owned and operated by the Company in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina and Texas continued to operate as expected.

Grid Support:
In the month of March, the Company was not asked to power-down operations to support local electrical grids. As the Company has demonstrated in prior months, it will continue to work with the communities and utility companies in which it operates to enable and ensure electrical grid stability.

It would presumably suit Argo to take delivery in small batches over a few months and have there Core rigs ownership transferred as they are delivered. Interesting to see how this all plays out (imo)

HL still not doing Bed and ISA service ..

Two years ago they were using the Coldvid excuse !

It's not as if they don't make enough profit to provide that service (rant over and complaint filed)

I noticed a £20k trade late yesterday which looks like another HL customer lol

Worth bearing in mind that my Argo shares went from 5p to £3 in a matter of months

Not having them in an ISA became an issue for me...

I was sat looking at nearly £1M profit and worrying about selling because of the tax implications !

It actually made me sit on them too long and when I sold the tax implications were no longer an issue lol

I'll be moving my limit into my Stocks ISA asap

I was expecting a bit of selling today ready to move into ISA tomoz (I think tomorrow is ISA top up day ..)

I will see if Bed and ISA is available tomorrow...

Not financial advice but if I had had my Argo stock in an ISA when they went radio rental I would have been better off.

If QBT does what we all hope and we see those Rockets having as much as possible in a stocks ISA could be a wise move...

I am happy to be wrong but I got the impression notification must be made to the AIM company but that the company was not obligated to inform the FCA and presumably the market....
'There is no prescribed form for AIM companies, but shareholders can use the TR-1 Form when notifying the issuer. AIM companies are not required to file a TR-1 Form with the FCA.'

TBH commercial law isn't my thing so I'm probably reading this law document arse about face :-)

I have posted previously that as far as my research goes a TR1 is not a requirement for AIM listed companies.

Which may explain how seemingly large accumulations during JS warrant exercises were not reported via TR1s....

I have posted before about how the largest public traded BTC miner has a team looking at AI mining. CEO Mike Levitt sums it up perfectly (imo)
'The industry in and of itself is a disruptor, so we have to be very thoughtful about how might we be disrupted'
'We have about 40 people who spend all of their time thinking about on one hand how can we develop technology that make mining better, better, faster, cheaper etc...'

Mike goes on to talk about AI in blockchain.

QBT are definitely progressing down the right path....

I still believe someone like Core may get involved in some way with QBT when further patents and results are in place.
