RE: Updates20 Nov 2023 18:51
Cookoo, as you know, oil&gas exploration takes time and costs money. Money needs to flow for investment in assets either from monetisation/farm-down or from investors (income from production is obviously not a short term option). It's really that simple.
Both Selene and Pensacola are excellent prospects. Indeed better/more promising than initially hoped for.
Both will need a large sum of money in 2024; not for the Deltic operation and Xmas party, but to progress the drilling work. Next geotechnical task is probably in 7 days. As I recall, we probably need around $25-30million to cover Delt's share of costs in 2024. That's going to happen through monetisation and if not, it may be the end of the road. I cannot see such a large fundraise happen vs the current market cap.
There is nothing rose tinted about this, this is for investors who can see the huge upside, but who can also appreciate and live with the risk of losing the whole investment. Risk/reward assessment.
I am expecting (good) news before Xmas, otherwise I feel we are running out of time and hope; unless we have some interim progress update showing some sort of steps forward.
