Totally agree on this, and again, all the USA majors have already acquired assets last yr

The tax implications changed in 2022 for BHP when it delisted from UK, so I’m believing that 20% is trimmed off before we recieve it from BHP Ltd / BHP group

Do we now pay 20% on dividends given?

BP would probably be a better bet with higher volatility and quarter dividend which not hit sp as much as ABERDEEN is going to..

BP now stands at 7% yield

Personally I would just watch this now to see they can hold dividend ..

Every FTSE stock is undervalued. Be careful with what your thinking mate…

This could fall further if Aberdeen have got large outflows this quarter …

BP has further downside that any upside potential looking at the various support levels down at 302p in my honest opinion.

I have been in BP since 2002, been buying them along US heavyweights. BP is so undervalued, but it will never catch neither Chevron nor XOM if they tried. Nor can Elliot do anything … he has moved on a land bought a stake in RWE I see from Germany now.

There is no positive upswings happening at BP…

There is more capitulation still to come from interest rates not being lowered. If they do lower rates, inflation goes up, which they don’t want.

ELLIOT took stake in TXN last yr in May ‘24 at $196, it’s now trading $176. So, it doesn’t matter if it’s a short or a stake. The market is going to destroy any of these stakes he has at present.
