I agree … nothing has changed… it’s always been SHELL dragging BP.

But maybe if BP did a reverse split on shares it would drive SP higher.

There would be both negative and positives from this, but I believe positives would outweigh negatives.

It would reduce small time traders trading and increase more affluent investors. Look at both TESLA stock, CVX, AMZN, Citigroup, NETFLIX, PRICELINE to name a few.

I don’t believe any FTSE stocks have done this.

If you sell, you don’t get the benefits of AV giving you your new allocation of shares without a large charge of commission and stamp duty cost, and you’d miss out on thee DLG divi

DLG goes ex div on 3rd April, so it’s obvious to say the DLG sp will drop next week .

Payout is in May.

I’d just sit and take the pressure away and take both from DLG & AVI

You’re right it’s not covered by TRUE eps, it’s still playing catch up.

This year we’re receiving 21.32p that is clearly not covered by earnings alone, but by other tools.

I’m 40, and yes Iv held LGEN since 2011 and bought more at 221p last year. £9.5k in total.

When I compare to my US investments it’s pathetic.

Iv held, which are all good dividend stocks reasonable in comparison. 2.5-7% on average.

Awesome. Considering P/E is still below 10, and counterparts like JPM, WFC, BAC, SOC, RY all trade at 13-14 times, this could easily be 1200p in future… let’s play catch up HSBC!

Are we going the same way as Imperial tobacco / BATS in 2016, when culture started to change.

I think so, and this will start to hit home this year in this sector.

Though I will wait to level up and make this holding in line with ULVR that I have as a heavyweight.

EPS will not recover for years, maybe until Trump leaves office inn 4yrs time.

4th March is when Trump tariffs take effect on China, Canada & MEX.
