I post for discussion and more than happy to debate any point and will do so with fact and substance. People can then make up their own mind. What people do with their investment is nothing to do with me. You on the other hand are the lowest of the low. Encouraging people to solidify their losses claiming that ncyt are 2000% overpriced based on misleading information. You stand to benefit from those sells as you will be buying as others will be following your guidance and selling. I support my valuation of the company and always refer back where possible to balance sheets or RNS's or news in the media re macroeconomics. You on the otherhand support your valuation by giving a lazy mcap comparison to 2 years ago completely ignoring the cash we have. It's junior at best.

I suggest if you want to troll a board then grow some thick skin because you will be outered everytime you do it. Come with some facts and we may be able to debate but unfortunately you've made your bed now so shaking the troll label won't be easy.

It's not as simple as that Grim as other assets will have moved also. Stock may have come down, creditors up, debtors down, etc.

Net assets was £138m and will move by the earnings in H2 so £14m or so. Subject to any movements in the share capital accounts such as share give aways as part of remuneration packages which we have absolutely no clue on.

I would therefore estimate that the net assets will be approximately £150m in the Auditored accounts as at 31 Dec 21. Your point is still valid though. We are currently trading at less than that. Also remember that the balance sheet is full of prudence. I.e

£60m Provisions for DHSC dispute
£35m provision for obsolete stock
Goodwill valuations on our subsidiaries will be very prudent.

This is why net assets tend to be used as the absolute lowest price when valuing a company. A floor if you like.

I was wondering the same. Do trolls actually do any homework. Ncyt has dropped 90% and yet the trolls still troll. It's SP is lower than its net assets which in business is often used as the lowest point of a range when valuing a company. Clearly they troll as they have a bearish interest. A short, or just looking to buy in at the very lowest point but at what point would a troll say, that's it, I'm buying in now. I would have thought quids ago yet here we are and the trolls keep trolling. Crazy.

Agree with that assessment byp. Throw the covid sentiment in there as well and you have a bad tasting ****tail. It's a patience game here. Has been for a long time. What underpins your ncyt investment however, is knowing it is extremely undervalued and has a very strong balance sheet.

Archy, it wasn't even that it was a bearish comment. It was just plain wrong and you were actually using it to advise someone to sell. If people are influenced by statements on these boards then it is only fair that bearish/bullish views are backed up by facts or at least something of substance. Misleading information should be corrected.

I am not familiar with your user so can only assume you have come on here without even a sniff of the accounts or any of the fundamentals and simply looked at the mcap pre pandemic Vs now. Very lazy.

It's really not that hard to spot a troll. They also have a certain unpleasant odour to them.

Shell, I invest on fundamentals. I like to think I know a little about them hence why I was confident in my £100m cash prediction. It helps if you know how cash flow statements, income statements and balance sheets all interact. I.e writing bad stock off not impacting your cash flow.

As for the SP. I think we all know it has nothing to do with fundamentals and everything to do with the market wishing covid away. Let's see what happens when the realisation finally sinks in.

Archy, where are you getting 20x times pre pandemic value. Ncyt have £102m in cash. What did they have pre pandemic? Do the calc again without cash. I posted about it the other day.

2 years ago ncyt we £12m mcap with a bit of debt giving a EV of about £15m. Today ncyt are £128m mcap with £102m cash giving a EV of £26m. So we are worth less than double.

You say 20x. Jeez, investing is a little more than multiplying SP by shares. You're either a very inexperienced investor who hasn't got a clue about valuing a business in which case you should stop sharing very inaccurate opinions or you are a dirty troll who likes nothing more than stealing a living. You may take offense to my assessment of you but you really should be careful what ****e you spout on here. You will be quickly outed for what you are.

The British diagnostic industry wasn't prepared for Covid. I would like to think next time we will be. We're already world leaders in sequencing.

Following an event that has cost the global economy trillions, diagnostics should be on that list. Been said a million times, investors arn't here just for Covid. We look beyond covid. Ncyt's EV is slightly more now than pre covid. Covid has built a huge solid foundation for us to build from. Also, diagnostics isn't just infectious diseases. There are lots of synergies from expanding into other diagnostic areas when the time comes. Certainly can't play down the diagnostic industry following the biggest event to hit the world since WW2.
