Quite a big deal with two big delegations ahead of Hasina. They like to do their homework. I don't think so (Phulbari specifics) it seems to be more about being polite and engaging sensitively especially as they are neighbours. Phulbari has always been the catalyst via GCM Resources and Tang for this regional activity; it is such a huge project: so as owners we can pat ourselves on the back and expect a reward otherwise that would not be polite?

Geopolitics Tarkadahl seems to be helping Bangladesh with their begging bowl as ADB, India and to be seen soon, China, vie to be bigger donors. I think India has not perhaps been altruistic up to now so opened the door to other countries. I read about a defence pact being discussed as a side story to Bangladesh and its highly regarded peace corps.

Without the GL GCM are in the dark on power and energy policy concerning Phulbari; chairman of that ministry is Hasina. The commerce ministry has just added their opinion with China the main creditor (reference India's caveat), the finance minister is towing the line on maintaining coal in the budget. Things are moving behind a government veil.

My advice would be to give the GL before the Beijing summit but unfortunately PC is CCP and therefore Hasina cannot do that and is having to wait on Xi.
