I agree with the sentiment of Hasina knowing where she stands but think it is a more liberated Bangladesh where Hasina is not so beholden to her Indian sponsors who put her in power if I have understood what I have read correctly thanks to HenrythEighth's negative outlook. This means the gas and oil generators who could be favoured party people might have to step back a bit to accommodate Phulbari in the national and China interest. jollychippy; there is no need to dual list straightaway and ownership could still be transferred but with Bangladesh poiticians to persuade and the 25% consortium ownership of Chinese you have to think about what is going to persuade them to give the green light so promising dual listing or just transferring over to Dhaka may be required.

Who are the controlling connections batting for; whoever it is, Hasina needs her head turning in our direction by commercial and political means and a waterslide that she can be pushed on to is required.

A name change and big issuance would see ownership change hands but without a takeover. Speed is of the essence for their exchequer and all the funny business needs the conclusion of a GL to make sense of the situation. It would not sit well for a cheap takeover and....

Many items agreed will help towards Phulbari modaiity which PC and GCM are working on. PC being a Chinese State entity so approved by Xi who is therefore interested. The connections have kept the SP in a range and whatever price it goes to the GL and terms of it is what will determine the SP. Whether we are 1p or 50p when the GL is given is immaterial.

$1bn is on the table in our MOU waiting for Hasina and if it gets the nod it will unlock the rest required-power station-excavation machines-coal transport-education for workforce-local support. Quid pro quo starts at Phulbari making the cooperative partnership work.
