Teesta is another project that should have gone ahead to guarantee a fresh water supply via resevoirs when India dams prevent flow. I am also wondering if the two reservoirs in the plan could provide water to Phulbari area to compensate for loss of groundwater.

There are no obstacles to a quick election and democratically held to satisfy youth. BNP will represent youth on their ticket. AL will be low profile as they will be in the firing line for corruption charges post election otherwise so that Economist article was off the mark about lots to sort out. Agree again Sharebare but we tend to overdo the magnitude of Phulbari. It is the low hanging fruit and will help with foreign exchange pressures and balance of payments and keeping outages from affecting industry. It is a good start.
