Respect Boris GAZA on this board as without Sovereign test and Northern Powerhouse push AVCT would have no test success. He is not an establishment man and likes to support up and coming industry/biotech.

Testing should be seen as washing your hands but on a less regular basis with a cheap test. EGTP's post' test and isolate the only way!' puts the emphasis on enforcing a test but test will only work when seen as a moral reponsibility to keep oneself clean. The asymptomatic nature which can be at any age requires regular personal action as a responsible routine. The experts are at fault through not acting quickly to get a cheap test out and use it themselves.

Any test can only be validated by being better than others so it pays to keep all candidates at their job.

AS could have had a saliva strip out to curtail the epidemic and Boris agreed with the idea but regulators questioned safety of delivery putting a spanner in the works. gkb47- AS cannot talk about someone elses interests only his own. If the government lets AVCT sell its test then AS can rns the fact. Everyyone has gone quiet on LFTs because the guess is they have to wait for the government to talk.

DonaldTrumpsWig; I don't think nationalization is involved; the government are having a whitelabelled AVCT test which they are the owners of but AS is the lead developer and will get to sell surplus production with an AVCT label. The government are strongarming the diagnostics sector by carefully tailoring specs to the AVCT method of test and S&S etc. AS does not need to update as he does not have a test in development that he owns! Collaboration is via a kind of government diktat as covid is not a cold but can have long covid effects and doctors will require home tests/bams etc rather than surgery visits if covid is suspected for the future management of the disease. AS is very busy making sure the tests are to the highest standard possible and confirming the situation with all relevant players.

The test should be a weekly thing for everyone when an outbreak of C19 is around your locale. Common hygiene really and we should all get used to acting responsibly with a cheap test. 317 LA centres being opened up ready for asymptomatic testing which is an idea the Healthy Sectretary is rightly sold on. Business is keen on opening up with approved route for workers to venture forth. The test may not be AVCT but soveroeign so no need for AS to rns though it will likely be a simultaneous announcement by both government and Avacta. Testing is not as high profile due to vaccination roll out but I think the necessity to keep jobs means track and trace and testing in the immediate future via local authority sites. Success of self testing at the sites will mean validation for home tests .
I am sure an evolution of the lockdown rules will follow with validation of a useful test. Noone is twiddling their thumbs there has to be an announcement in the near term.

CaptainStanley; I have come to the opinion that AS has never been in control of anything but he is good at selling the tech which is what he understands. He has been buffeted by the industry, the market makers, the lawyers, the government and maybe the wife. I am looking forward to his success but think he will be lucky if he doesn't have a breakdown before it happens. He does care about the shareholders because he feels as heklpless as them with the current situations but it is his strategy. A paying affimer breakthrough anywhere is what he desperately needs.

I think the government wants a better test and sovereign one so has to twist the arm of manufacturers to cooperate with AS as the government like the idea of a highly sensitive early detection LFT. It may be that AS does not need to rns another manufacturer as it is a government led order with a promise that inferior tests will not be purchased so they had better make the new test. I can't see AS being able to pull things together to create a sovereign test especially if antagonism displayed to other players in the space on this board is reflected in company relations.
