Poundcake-the infrastructure is being rolled out and Innova are doing the dummy run swab testing for us but has only been going a week. The stage is being set for AVCT and a first saliva test. Hope all is proceeding to plan in that respect. The news last night said 50,000 deaths from covid reached but AVCT are also into cancer drugs and the news was a 27% reduction in screening April-September but 121,900 cancer patients started treatment. It puts the cancer opportunity in a proper light when considering that.

Swingeing loss for me today as had position closed out for me by IG with less than 10% of position left. I should have thought to hedge with MARS and CCL while they were unlikely to cost me more losses if no vaccine news had come.. I live but will I learn- I hope so. My unleveraged holdings are still there and I still think AVCT is the place to be.

Some sort of pilgrimage up North maybe warranted covid permitting.

The test is gauranteed as far as I have positioned myself but where I perhaps see less than 100% success is in the implementation of the mass test solution however there will be enough evidence to validate its use and where effective testing can be applied a market will be waiting.

oxygen, AVCT is full pelt going out to produce an LFT for mass use which will see fast money and most investors expect big short term upside without it only being in a dream.

There has been multiple hints about mass testing and LFT saliva test coming so I don't see why anyone is not sleeping at night. Of course, as a born worrier a big or small investment is going to be of concern but I imagine when everything comes to fruition I might actually have no worries and get a good nights sleep.....viz - if invested a bit of sleeplessness is par for the course and even more so if a natural worrier but shouldn't be if all the hints are believed.

WillHawk909 - Everyone has to agree that currently nothing works. Governments are moving towards mass testing and we must be patient to see the test at the top of the pile and how it is implemented. I don't think anyone wants lockdown/bailouts as that is as deadly in a different way as covid and not a not sustainable anyway as the World was over indebted before covid.

Wyndrum- I think the idea is the tier system will be toast come March as you wouldn't spend public money on furlough/tier system/national tier3 etc and mass testing. LFT is the passport to normality by March if all goes well.

The clinical data of AVCT's test is not known but the R rate rapidly reduced will more than compensate for false negatives by giving people their freedom by not catching covid which does not happen at the moment. Saliva is a multi 'infected' medium throwing up wrong results and assuming the LFT does gain widespread adoption as accurate a score out of three may settle things over 3 days say?

MB....AVCT have affimers as a differentiator. Affimers bind to covid antigen spikes readily as smaller than normal proteins and specifically designed for that spike. Affimers can be produced at scale for mass testing. Isolation of the infectious takes place as early as possible so regular mass testing will rapidly isolate the enemy before they spread covid. No other test will have the necessary advantages that affimers provide.

Thanks for the technicalities AfamaMan. I think we will attain gold standard and will be good for AVCT in establishing itself as a leading biopharma.

MB, I just mean the best. I didn't realise it had a tecchnical application and was just trying to show better knowledge than CNN health team who are maybe not so immersed in the subject and I thought published misleading info posing as experts which from my laymans viewpoint they clearly are not. My apologies but I do think a test that will pick up infectious covid not currently on the market will be the best test. Nothing controls covid spread at the moment except self isolation.

Doesn't sound right to me. PCR has more false positives so a bad measure for fale negatives. AVCT LFD to be gold standard after trialling hopefully.

Cut the Churchillian guff and do more of the Thatcher detail combining it with saleable strategy. Thatcher as a chemistry graduate would have been good with covid test detail.

gateway to what oxygen? You need to spell it out. Covid takes no prisoners so likewise it has to be locked up. Appropriate language and why the army mentality and personnel are suitable for ramming home the message. If you are positive you and your household are isolated until testing negative likewise you can only go out your house if you have tested negative. Perhaps there should be red crosses on all covid infected premises? Mass testing has to be effective or don't bother.
