Milcait, the #721 is sadly still 35nm NE of Jade.
There’s good data but comes at small premium:
Last update was 38mins ago & is at 21.200N &116.239E
Has been towing some 5nm cables for another client.

Was hoping that it might have finished its current survey by this evening which might then still give us a chance to see a quick survey completed on Jade before Monday afternoon; has recently been twice on location at Jade so some of the survey is perhaps already done. After Monday it gets a wee bit choppy again for 4 days.
So still waiting.

There is a legal requirement to post any significant changes in a company’s status immediately.

When Ryder Scott or any other Competent Person verify AM’s statements then that has to be disclosed to the market, immediately.

Waiting until the 30th April for the Annual Report to be posted, and then tagging on a CPR of any significant find, would be reported to the FCA, immediately.

Cuda had been massively hedged, as dictated by their senior lender.
Low 40’s if i remember correctly. That though will have no effect on any future owner as Cuda senior lender will then be paid off, as decided by the administrator and is dependent on how much is paid for Cuda. Then they are out of any future involvement.

Assuming AM doesn’t need to use the accordion facility or to raise a further loan, and that perhaps it is bought out by the funds already available in the kitty then no further hedges would be dictated by additional lenders. If a loan was required though, then would not be too serious an outlay to have a small % of future bopd hedged. Putin being taken out by his own side would then see all the taps being opened again.

The #721 had briefly traversed over the top of Jade before weekend but then moved 40Nm to the north east & started a series of parallel courses which suggested that it was doing a survey, but was not for us as way too far off. Imv.

Where it gets complicated is that there are 3 unknown Class B vessels currently sitting exactly on top of Topaz. They all approached the field from the direction of HK at the same time & arrived about 8 hrs ago. There has been no further transponder update since so not sure if they have stayed or have moved off to a new location. Just weird thst they made a direct approach & then are parked on our Topaz.

The #721 was initially 40Nm NE but is now about 30Nm NE although is still at a steady slow cruise. The suspicion is that she may be multitasking ie doing another survey which then means could be finished within 24hrs (has been there 2 to 3 days).

Simply put, there is a hell of a lot of interesting marine activity around our fields. Hopefully the position transponders give another update this evening.

The waves still registering above 1.7m and originally thought earliest window was Saturday night but seems like the sea is getting calmer lots quicker than forecasted.
Looking v.good for start of survey over this weekend.

Only doing 4.4kt so in slow cruise (almost surfing).
Thought this would be a day too early, but the wave heights chart is dropping quicker than was forecasted. Appears that the chinese sea captain has better intel on predicting the sea states than the western charts.
Looks good for the survey starting over the weekend.

#721. : 8.8kn & at course 154 degrees
would take 13.6 hrs to arrive at Jade,
& having left at midnight then puts them on site c.1pm local.
The charts suggest there will still be a significant swell..

Fingers crossed & she is again commissioned for BOIL
Certainly heading in the right direction : course 154 with an easterly wind 22kts, should give a heading c.175 degrees, allowing for the wind sheer.
But appears to be a day tooo early,
Maybe they’re testing the sea bed with anchors during the last of the swells (2.7m tomorrow) prior to putting a rig on site ??

Was mentioned previously that finding safe anchorage on the sea bed for a rig would be one of the survey vessels tasks.
It could be one of the permits requirements…

As per the Gaz Bisht meaningful insight on timeframes,
if conditions are good, then could see this v.quickly develop.

The survey vessel Hai Yang Shi You 721 still parked off Jiangmu Island where it has been since that initial deployment over Jade last week. Appears to be a v.good weather window from Monday evening China time (c.mid morning UK). There is also a fairly good 24hr window this Sunday when the wave height just below 1.7m, prior to 10hrs of increased wave activity early Monday. After Monday afternoon then appears to be getting progressively calmer throughout all of next week.

Last week saw a cheeky bid on another oiler also operating further north about 30 degrees higher in latitude, where i was ready to pay significantly above the asking price but that the offer was not/could not be filled, so giving good insight into the low volumes available. Tried doing similar on here & IG has currently stopped all buys, cheeky or otherwise.

Thanks redorwhite, my understanding is that she is used to assess marine environmental issues prior to any offshore developments. I’ve seen their reports previously and they do a very extensive coverage of everything that moves, floats or crawls along the sea bed, prior to any offshore marine installations. Wondering if there is sufficient data from the Blocks 17 & 18 seismics & surveys to warrant a pre production survey.

Any peeps know why the Cefas Endeavour is currently surveying the grounds between the blocks 17/5 & 18/1 and the Moray Firth shoreline…

Had already lost one doctor from Belarus speaking too loudly in Serbian Slav, then when outside, surrounded by the local kids, then quickly shot. All within 4hrs of giving him a lift from the airport. A lot of bad feeling & mistrust amongst the locals.
Learn to trust instincts. Several of my peers have already given up on AM & is all down to lack of trust. 130,000 troops amassed around Ukraine’s borders can’t be taken lightly. Will though anything arise from it ? Currently the intelligence agencies believe that there is a strong probability of conflict. Is it then possible that another Archduke Ferdinand catalyst could similarly arise or that any of the globally mobile 3rd party ‘freedom fighters’ start planning this year’s holiday venues & escalate the situation even further & again is now also an increased probable.

China watching closely as the US has only the resources to contain one conflict ie Ukraine, and so then leaves the door for them to look at Taiwan. Both these autocratic regimes are keen to extend their influences. The west currently far more concerned about freedom of choices, be it vax’s or transgender issues. Possibly then creates a new axis of autocratic regimes incorporating most of the gulf region too. Access to O&G would then be at the very top of everyone’s shopping list.
