The Trump Pump n Dump. The Iranians are handing over their enriched uranium and opening the straights!!!! What do most of us really know, but whats the odds that it's all BS. TW 84p to 90p then back down to 78p in a weeks time. Can we not see patterns here?

Building land in some areas is more valuable as self storage units than houses. This begs the question, what is the TW land bank really worth. 1.5 billion or 45p per share? Probably a safe entry point.

Not sure this is a buy in the 70's tbh. It's all about affordability, which isn't looking great for many years now.

The seventies oil crisis took around 10 months for the oil price to stabilise, so how can anyone predict the damage to the economy until some kind of truce and stability are found. To say this was unprecedented or unpredictable isn’t right. The biggest Armada in the world, the most unstable US president ever known, the most efficient and ruthless fighting force known since WW2 in the form of the IDF vs Iran. Given the last 12-18 months we had a good idea where this was going. The bottom line for TW’s value irrespective of the economy is its land bank. Value that in say 24-36 months time and you have fair value for this share. IMO of course.

Not sure this is a bye in the 70's the way things are looking. Three possible rate rises this year to 4.5%. Most 5 year fixed deals being removed and replaced by 5.75% fixed for 5 years.

sadly my comments aren’t fantasy. i thought that tw had legs to about 1.30, with a bottom 1.0 times nav of 1.00. the iran conflict was not entirely unpredictable, but not to the extent it’s unfolded. no endgame or strategy the markets don’t like. so from base line of 1.00 and 30 plus % isn’t fantasy as the **** hasn’t even got near the fan blades yet. but come autumn things will be very different imo. good i’m wrong and interest rates and inflation don’t increase, but know they are a foregone conclusion.

I think 20-30% drops from here are looking very likely as the Iran fuel inflation takes effect. The economy was flat at 0 in January, so one assumes negative growth as inflation hits the economy. TW from an investment stand point is basically a land bank with reducing cash and profit. I tried to make a few quid and did until it dropped from 1.16 to 1.0 then climbed by back to 1.05 where i sold and took a large haircut. To be honest I wouldn’t be buying back into this share at over 80p but even then 60-70 p are probably on the horizon. The wheels are really coming off the economy everywhere you look.

I also hope the war ends soon. But Iran isn’t Iraq, Afanaistan, Libya or Syria. It’s a country with arguably a bigger brighter middle class than many EU countries. It’s supplied a lot of Hardware to Russia and gas unknown amounts of basic weaponry and military operatives. You cannot just decaptitate the leadership and hope the void is filed to your own satisfaction. My fear is we’ve unleashed Pandora’s box and closing it not straight forward. Troops on the ground looking like the only way to root out insurgents firing drones into Dubai, which is a massive and prolonged game should Iran not capitulate in some form of structured manner, which is looking slimmer by the day. All IMO of course. Let’s see.

Maybe I should have kept my thoughts to myself Denby. I sold a large position yesterday after taking quite a hair cut. Maybe I’m wrong, but I had to go with my gut yesterday.

My feeling is the whole market is complacent about the mid east conflict. It’s not the ‘Trump dump n pump’, this has unlocked Pandora’s box. The law of unintended consequences could be massive. Whilst the World won’t stop turning, the markets will get batters imo. 70p a share is a reality very soon I think.

Spot on Pokerchips. People need to do some critical thinking. Sure Government of the past 15 has been lousy and business has survived despite Government, but to think the Grifter Farage has a magic wand is at best fanciful. Look at Kent council and the leaked YouTube footage to get an idea of what these goons are about. Not saying that their isn’t a grain of truth in what Farage says about the state of play, but he has an o level in statin the bleeding obvious. He offers no real solution. Personally I see part a two stream economy, and the part we as investors are concerned with is holding its own. I’m not saying fireworks but steady returns on investment.
