Think it’s important to remember that whist we agree that the clinical trial of AVA6000 will have clearly defined parameters around P1a & P1b as pre-determined by AVCT and the SDMC
We mustn’t forget however that the clinicians administering the trial are working with families they have probably known for months and years. Families who are probably going through hell with the real possibility of losing a loved one.
I find it inconceivable that the medical teams on the ground will not be monitoring the efficacy of the trial via CTS scans, blood counts etc etc and feeding this back to the family.
Wether efficacy is within the parameters of P1a or not, efficacy will be known to the clinicians and critically to the patients and their families.

I’m a huge fan of Avacta and understand that great science takes time. No problem waiting for updates.
But management of SH comms expectations is abysmal.
Early Jan is this week, next week is not early Jan.
if we don’t get the ‘early Jan’ update today or tomorrow then another timeline has been missed.
Don’t say it if you can’t keep to it.

However, just look at it very simply

If P1a demonstrates safety and tolerability then it HAS to demonstrate efficacy too. Unless anyone is stupid enough to believe that in over a year and 4 cohorts AVCT and the Marsden have persevered with pumping AVA6000 into patients with no suggestion that cleaving is taking place.
The question to wether dox works in the TME is irrefutable, decades of research coupled with excellent PK data from animals.

If the trial has continued for so long, it’s safe, if it’s safe it must cleave, if it cleaves, Dox kills tumours, end of.

The question has been answered, all we are awaiting is the detail.

I posted a couple of weeks ago my thoughts on the likelihood of some form of corporate activity taking place.

The intervening period of radio silence only reinforces my conviction. It is inconceivable that the company is not already in possession of significant P1a data that is SP sensitive and under normal conditions should be disclosed to shareholders.

Why are we not being updated? What happened to the science day? What happened to the promise of a 'data rich' 'transformational' Q4 ?

The only logical explanation IMO is that complex discussions/due diligence is currently taking place. And as is entirely normal under those conditions, strict confidentiality is required with absolutely nothing being disclosed.

Depending on the deal complexity, data/due diligence, exclusivity contracts, IP contracts, non compete agreements, retainment commitments from management, horse trading on price etc etc, such negotiations can go on for weeks and even months

Patience required, I read the delay as a very exciting development
