cmww2014 - my view is that Polygon are hoping, like the rest of us, that ACTIV P2 data is very good and then that ACTIV P3 goes ahead and is ultimately successful.
They are managing to bring their average down dramatically for an extremely small (relatively speaking!) outlay. Those extra 2 million shares for that TR1 just cost them around £0.4 million. It would have been £4 million the other week.
I don't think they have any inside information. They might have access to RM, but what can he possibly tell them that we all don't already know?
Sharedealer2019 - I agree. This has been their pattern since Miserable Monday, leaving the TR1's until the very last minute because they are busy buying on the cheap and don't want their TR1 to bump the price up. Although it didn't make much difference today. I fully expect them to get to 25%, maybe 29.9%. they won't go beyond. on the 0.01% chance they do, I'll be very happy as it will mean a £2+ per share bid. Considering I averaged down myself to £1.20, I'll be ecstatic and will count myself very lucky. But I really don't think that will happen.
