Hychro - lol! LP has been coming on this board every day for about 4 months, no exaggeration.

It was a good move today, no question. But we’ve seen stocks, including MATD, rise before on rumour or anticipation and then fall back. The hard fact is that we still do not have the LP. If it does eventually come, hold on tight and expect the SP to go double digits

No, the LP has not been given and there is no firm reason for the rise other than hope and expectation. Unless of course there really is a leak, which I wouldn't rule out.

But very happy with the rise today. After loading up significantly in the raise at 2.5p, it's a nice milestone to see that investment double. I'm hoping for much more, but not getting carried away.

PHILBORO - blimey, you win! Sadly, most of us have had these experiences.

Mani - I also desperately want news ASAP. But I do appreciate that things are now somewhat (mostly!) out of their control. They could have been told last year that they’d be on STRIVE and might be surprised it is taking so long to organise and confirm. Then again, they might have nothing. We just don’t know, and that’s where my sympathy starts to erode. I’m sure they could have kept in contact with shareholders more, while not breaching any rules, NDAs or such like. I’ll be feeding this back at the AGM, even if J&J have lodged a £10 per share takeover offer.

Landicaamans - my best one was selling TXP at 18p and 6 months later them being 180p.

Mani - to be fair, me and Wigster missed the comment about a trial by winter, but it was confirmed by a few others, so I take it that it was said. Re the comment on them being concerned about us taking notes, this was what we said:

"... Synairgen were wary of us passing on the notes we took, for fear of us misrepresenting what was said and the potential for inadvertent Chinese whispers to start." Fair enough, I think.

On the AGM, they were indeed upbeat and for all we know things might be progressing very well, albeit slowly (we know they can't control the timeline now and are reliant on others).

I'll stick by my comment that if their body language is good, I'll take it as a positive. As we've commented on many times before, they are more scientists than businessmen and I don't think they are the types who can blatantly lie to investors while keeping a straight face. It's all my own opinion, no one has to listen to it!

dippfs - just to clairify, I am more thinking that surely some news will be announced by the time the AGM comes along. And if not, that probably tells us a lot. Also, I think at the AGM you'll be able to get a feel of the mood in the room by the BOD. If they seem very relaxed and chirpy, I'll take that as positive. If it's quite glum...

I think a successful velociraptor would be worth many multiples of 1p.

Let's calm down again, though. Nice move today. But it's on the back of no firm news.

Come on LP, where are you?

The silence from Synairgen has been deafening. It's either that they are:

- stuck, with no clear path forward or...
- they are very busy working the implement the chosen path forward.

Obviously, I reckon it's the latter, hence being an amateurish investor and loading up at what I see as bargain prices. We'll know soon enough with the AGM around the corner.

Great to see the SP b0110cking along at a nice lick this morning! Long may it continue, but it will eventually need that LP RNS to sustain it.

Re SP for Matad IF LP arrives, you can sure it will massively overshoot before settling down. My own price target is 10-15p on LP, but who knows, it could briefly spike to double that before settling back.

ProfessioNOT - you’ve just exposed yourself. Practically no investment is risk free. Perhaps a government bond is the closest. So for a UK investor, you can buy a UK gilt paying c.4% mostly tax free (gilts are free from CGT which is where the gain is primarily coming from). But for an international investor you are exposed to currency risk. I’ll have to look up a Dutch govt bond which is where you’re from.

SNG represents a fraction of my annual income/earnings, so don’t worry about me having to work another year.

ProfessioNOT - oh dear. I have said it could be deemed a punt, albeit an educated one. Averaging down is not amateurish. Circumstances can change. The upside might be potentially less than before but I still believe in SNG and am happy to have averaged down.

Aether - one final comment before I go out for bank holiday drinks…

For those of us who sadly bought shares at around the £2 level, consider that 5000 shares then would’ve cost £10k. If investing another £10k the other day, you’d have got 133,333 shares at 7.5p. I missed that low but got 8p.

That would reduce your average in price from £2 to 14.5p. Now, Synairgen might be a punt. But if we get any kind of positive news on trial, you’d expect the SP to go well north of 14.5p. Hell, it might get back to 14p just with investors having a punt in their ISAs.

There’s lots of debate on if we will get on a trial but ultimately it will be the likes of the NIH that will decide it, the same NIH that runs STRIVE. It gives me some comfort that they have said “SNG001 merits further investigation”. I mean, that’s straight from the horses mouth! But will we be the second, third, fourth drug trialled… who knows. And things change all the time, so nothing is certain.

The AGM is not that far away now. If we are waiting indeed waiting on the likes of STRIVE, then the SNG team must be praying for news to land before then.

Aether, I honestly have no idea. Gut feeling, probably not. For now, I’m just hoping we get on a trial of some sort and see the SP rerate. I’d probably derisk a little at this point and IMO would expect BP to take over at some point prior to results, hopefully meaning a nice windfall for investors.
