The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I can only speculate that there may well be a pending announcement . Something must surely be in the offing for the sp to have risen by approx 40%in the past 8 days or so and not before time IMO.Hope I am right we will soon see. GLA.
their high of 24th February seems to me to be extreme which begs the question how much further will the sp drift down ? I am sitting on a 15% loss which is steadily getting worse by the day .What is the answer bail out or hold as there must be many in the same predicament. Suggestions, answers, reasons ?
abacus It seems the market agrees with your opinion thankfully. I do tend to get a little nervours when negative articles like that are published .Good man I think I should Consult you on these sort of problems in future , for a fee of course.
as follows "EXPOSED. THE JAILBIRD PORNOGRAPHER BEHIND BRITAIN"S CRACK COCAINE GAMBLING MACHINES.How this article will affect the sp is very worrying as Teddy Sagi Playtech"s founder is who the article is reffering to.It claims he has done time for insider trading and bribery and was jailed for 9 months etc etc. I will be amazed if this does not have a negative affect on the price when the markets open on Tuesday.
the way the sp has drifted downwards over the last 3 weeks. In my 5th March post i suggested the drop in sp following the 45 mill sale was just a minor blip and topped up accordingly Big Mistake !. The fundamentals have not changed and as a previous poster has already pointed out its price should not be that greatly affected by the tax on gaming machines difficult to know what to think and it"s not like the old days when you could always have a chat with your broker.Any thoughts anyone?
to think that Teddy Sagi" s share sale of 45 million shares of which 29 million he bought in November 2011 gives him a profit of 237% on thoes alone and his remaining stake is worth 1.3 billion dollars. Some shrewed cookie.Makes my investment totally inconsequential or even less than that.ENVY IS A SIN ! Never mind we can"t all be billioners.
no expert but I still consider this company will go forward with very litte delay and this drop in sp wil be viewed as a minor blip. On monday I admit that the invasion by Russia made me think the market would drop significantly to which end I sold a number of investments including PTEC which I am pleased to report I have today bought back in at 53p a share less .A top up opportunity not to be missed IMHO
your not kidding I bought at that price which if I remember correctly all was well until a certain Japanese car manufacturer pulled the rug from under them just because at the time they could not grasp the technology. I have also bought at a range of prices down to 18p so I live in ETERNAL hope. Patience I am told is a virtue in which case I must be one virtuous guy.
Abacus with your"" alias""I should not doubt you financial savy but i read the dividend figure as around 56p per share .Right or wrong it is pretty decent ,this company is amazing I wonder how long before they enter the USA ? just sit back and enjoy the ride.
