WHY THE SP APPEARS TO BE IN FREE FALL DURING THE PAST WEEK OR SO ?
As a small PI I am very much concerned to see my modest investment and profits vanishing before my eyes and am amazed that the company has shown no inclination to question these dramatic share movements or make a statement to explain or question them .
Shorting a share is one reason put forward but to have such dramatic drops against the pressure of the purchases even when the purchases are quite clearly much greater makes little sense unless there is some reason in the background that we are not aware of. In all honesty I have to admit I am nearing a point to where I must make a decision to hold or sell and take what profits I still can and I say this with a measure of sincere regret.
Fortune its high time you acted and asked for trading to be suspended or made a statement to reassure investors that nothing is amiss . David.
pdub, have been there done that "partial nephrectomy " tumour removed from a kidney two years ago next week fortunately it had not spread left hospital three days later . The first couple of weeks things were quite tender but they soon returned to normal as long as you give the golf course and the gym as miss.
Chin up be positive and you will be fine we're all gunning for you !
Very best regards , Dixie.
Apologies and correction re my 9.12 post the statement regarding the H L had been wrongly indicated to me by a third parties misunderstanding of the transaction .The HL Bed and Isa transaction was in fact perfectly correct that has taught me a lesson.
Humble Pie for lunch !
A few months ago I persuaded my brother to invest BMN so yesterday he decided to bed and Isa them which resulted in them being sold at 41.50p and buy at 43.50p . I stand to be corrected but I do not remember seeing a spread of
2p.yesterday. I dread to think how much this HL transaction must have cost him !
Javbri, that may be very true BUT when you reach my age optimism begins to wear a little thin.
Still we live in hope !
My buy shown as a sell !
Good to see lets hope it gets the ball rolling and the Sp back to where it should be at 13 + in my opinion.
dubzy , I have checked but as far as I can see there has not yet been a statement issued by the all party commitee as expected, however this issue has been subject to review for some months now and was expected to bring forth the outcome metioned in my original post. I do apologise if my information was incorrect but I suggest we wait and see !
is due this week over fixed odds betting and the cuts to maximum stakes are expected to be drastic as reported in yesterdays newspapers . The consesus of the all party group appears to be that the maximum stakes for fixed odds betting machines should be cut from £100 stake to£2 ,their report is due out tomorrow which I would have thought will have a negative affect on the sp . I have taken the decision to sell my modest holding this morning in the hope of buying them back when the dust settles ,that is of course unless I have made a complete horlicks of the outcome !
acquisition by the BOD with a decent movement in the sp,however lets see where the sp is in a week or two's time, although I must concede that in these uncertain times it is anybody's guess. I know I have mentioned this on previous occasions but I still feel the market does not give this share sufficient credit for it's continuing outstanding performance and IMO for what it's worth the sp should be well north of £9.00 .
as reported in the Times this morning and possible acquisition discussions taking place would explain the spike in the sp, also a suggestion that if the talks do not have a positive outcome then that would quite possibly result in a cash return to shareholders. I wish the BOD of some of my other modest investments were of the calibre of PTEC"s anyway it all sounds good to me GLA. Regards David.
back in today after 2 years invested elsewhere with the losses or should I say the few quid left over from the sale of an oiler this morning in the hope that I can in time reverse the losses. Looking at the growth over that period and of late especially is impressive wish I had stayed in never mind " live and learn"as they say . Regards Dixies.
Great news on this wet and miserable Monday morning but its a pity the market has not taken a more positive view of the deal which invariably it seem to me is the way with this share. With regard to the couple of negative post below it is obvious that the posters have little or no knowledge of this companies track record, the William Hill deal/ windfall is one that comes to mind when refering to cash piles, but that a side this BOD as usual are right on the ball.
