I have emailed PHE several days ago asking if they are utilising independent emissions analysts for compliance, no reply to date ... This promo on LinkedIn is amateur, no mention of net zero goals or any form of compliance or standards, just offering a "lower-carbon alternative", sadly old school speak that’s no longer applicable in today’s energy or waste markets. Being frank, it smacks of pure desperation, critical maybe , but as an investor it’s my right to raise major concerns.

Stockhunter1 : Interesting, there actively targeting the incineration sector re the UK ETS announcement. If PHE’s hydrogen production already meets DESNZ’s Net Zero Hydrogen Standard, it would be a major commercial and regulatory milestone, especially with the HySpeed rollout underway. Independent publication of lifecycle emissions data would strengthen the investment case and clarify eligibility. Is this something the company is preparing?

PHE will at some point engage with this subject even though the 2.5 TPD DMG is for intermittent testing. A choice of investing (50k) in a permanent CEMS with annual running cost of 10-20k . The alternative could be spending a few thousand per test cycle (£2k-£5k ) for a portable CEMS and lab analysis

as a spot testing approach. Would this satisfy (MRV) requirements? Further research and answers needed... Portable CEMS results under UK ETS won’t make detailed emissions data public. Commercial data like PHE’s DMG feedstock trials could be kept as confidential, unless PHE chooses to release them.

Last post disappeared. Under UK (ETS) rules, Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMS) is key to Monitoring/Reporting/Verification, without it, PHE can’t verify DMG’s low emissions or avoid default carbon costs. (ETS) Emissions Trading Scheme Commencing 2026.

@The0ne — really appreciate your recent posts and your perspective on the commercial shift PHE is making.

I’ve put together some thoughts in my latest post around the £50k additional spend, emissions testing at the Technology Centre, and the need for clearer structure around product sales and marketing.

Would be interested in your take — especially on how PHE could manage early emissions data without inviting backlash. Feel free to share your view if you get a chance.

Government recognition is key. PHE’s tech fits UK goals on NetZero, hydrogen & waste reduction ,but credibility depends on clear delivery, tested emissions data & commercial execution. Can emissions be tested without backlash? Time for clarity. Testing stack emissions could boost credibility, if framed correctly. Early data must be part of R&D, not final performance. Mishandled, it invites unnecessary scrutiny. PHE needs a smart, transparent approach.

PHE has shifted to product sales with 2.5TPD DMG units, but where’s the sales team, plan, or structure? Shareholders funded £50k for “further development”, what exactly?

With £150k raised for marketing and limited time to show traction, PHE must clarify who’s leading commercial rollout. Shareholders need updates on deliverables, emissions strategy & how this product shift will generate revenue.

Now’s the time to align with policy & show real-world value. You don’t get many bites a the cherry..

Just an observation

Swazers: interesting section re Mitigating Risk. Most investors including myself would welcome some information from the test centre regarding emissions/ byproducts. A simple question to date that's not been addressed. Why?

Those desperate might consider Thermosphere change tax, although failed to tax a hole in the ozone or a green house. As for down to earth compass navigation via Magnetic Northings for chart correction, its gone ape. Northings have rapidly shifted from west to east over the past twenty years. Magnetic north pole has been moving at as much as 50km per year , so Trump better get his coordinates right otherwise he'll be invading the wrong country. 😊

I noted a quote stating that on site storage of gas was too expensive in reference to the current test centre budget. Perhaps the statement is more complicated than just capital expenditure and more akin from the permit perspective, anyway Involvement within the HyNet cluster would IMO be a game changer as indeed would any sale.

Not sure on time lines, but as previously mentioned the 2.5 ton (less than 4 ton per day plants) falls outside many planing and permit restrictions. Small scale operations must be attractive for PHE to progress beyond the FOK....

Patxaran: DMG data and the plant information would need to be submitted by the buyer as part of Planning and location, as well as Permit Type, Emissions, Feed stock Restrictions, Build & Commission Timeline etc . Looks like PHE are offering assistance to potential buyers with submissions. If all application areas necessary are successful, then permits granted would enable a comprehensive risk analysis for insurance purposes and potential fund raising. So in a nut shell were not there yet.... hence no answer. Although welcome, Hydrogen off take and support news may be viewed as "Cart before horse" by some investors.

Need to do more up to date research on this subject but past research indications suggest that less than 4 tons per day (feedstock) reduces stringent regulations.

Larger 40 TPD projects (Ballymena), navigating complex permitting (e.g. NI Environment Agency, public consultations) is a key challenge.
