RE: Hydrogen in Bridgend18 Apr 2025 12:10
Wales approval indicates that energy development takes president over opposition groups, which may make costs of permits more attainable and quicker to implement. A good result for home grown energy.
Group CEO of Centrica, (Interesting quote re Project HySpeed, Hydrogen) “There is no silver bullet to decarbonise the energy system. It will take every technology we have at our disposal to achieve net zero. The scale and ambition of this project has the potential to lower costs, making hydrogen roll-out affordable for government and the private sector alike. Hydrogen can play a crucial role in tackling emissions from sectors that other clean energy sources cannot easily reach. It can be used to power the UK when the sun does not shine, and the wind does not blow.”
Collaboration with Johnson Matthey might not be as lucrative but would give PHE a platform. PHE is not yet recognised as a candidate, It’s on my wish list.
