6pence swing in one day from about 193.3 to 186.3 perfect for shorters i never expected to see tw back into the 180s let alone 186 so much for the forward guidance by taylor wimpey and their 5 year plan of increased dividends the yield on offer is now like a junk bond status

hi johnson you got in at a good price with bdev already over 20 pence up i agree with you there is a lot of potential upside to bdev while taylor wimpey i feel will stagnate as there is no interest in the shares now the special dividend has been paid my big worry is unless we get a re-rate which is not an absolute given come next year we will be looking at 205-210 max the question is whether this is enough for me having bought at 203.5 including dealing costs just a few days before ex dividend date i feel i will lose patience and will be tempted to sell and trade in another share with greater growth potential

the share price has been static since ex dividend day whist bdev have gone up over 20pence this is very worrying when the yield on taylor wimpey is greater

bdev is going up at a faster rate than taylor wimpey this week i think i am in the wrong one sods law lol

thanks johnson i would have thought at that yield they are undervalued at the present time

what is the yield now on taylor wimpey the motley fool has 2 articles now saying the yield is over 8 per cent but i thought now with revised guidance it is now over 9 per cent at todays closing price

for the third afternoon in a row taylor wimpey are falling away i would have expected to at least hold 189 very dissapointing

hi davielad i agree this would work sometimes but if this was guaranteed you could move your pot of money from one share to the next as i am sure some people do just collecting the dividends but i myself am not so sure about this strategy the market makers never make it so easy for you if they did everybody would jack in their day job and do this

tommy rotten please do not stop posting just because you feel your comments may have been misinterpreted i agree your anaysis is much better thought out than others who just post ridiculous price targets of 260 going into the previous ex dividend and only changing thier price target to 220 p a few days before ex dividend day 30 may which was frankly ridiculous let us face it it did hit a peakm of 205p about a week before ex dividend day and it was not going to go any higher my prediction was about 205 going into ex dividend that is why i bought at 203.5 i am now all in taylor wimpey rightly or wrongly only time will tell

tommy rotten you have been relentlessly ramping up these shares since capital markets day and as i recall you bought on the close 30 may i myself exited taylor wimpey a day before capitalmarkets day at around 195 and of course they went up to a peak of 205 i bought back in at a higher price of 203.5 including dealing costs a few days before ex dividend day and of course they went down to 201.20 ex dividend like you i am surprised that they are trading below 190pence maybe i suggest the market does not have confidence in taylor wimpeys 5 year plan of greater dividend payments which i must say is very ambitious

hello tom i topped up 5000 shares at 188.51 this morning very strange to see this falling with the yield on offer

when is the latest date you have to keep hold of the shares to collect the dividend is it 30 may or 31 may 4.30 pm as i would expect a spike of about 2 pence before then

this share was trading at 203 ex dividend in 1 years time there has been no capital growth this is remarkable considering there new dividend poilcy

my guess is 205 close wednesday 31 194 june 1

i am back in taylor wimpey again after selling too quickly at 195 bought in at 203 yesterday surprised at the fall today if it gets to 205 thinking of doing a sell before ex dividend day for a small profit

i agree with your thoughts stockbuster but i invested too quickly in vodafone on the fifteenth at an average of 200p including costs and i just cannot see this going any higher than 200p xdivi date maybe we will stay at these low levels now i hope i am wrong but not too optimistic at the moment

i have noticed that vodafone never gets a big rise on positive broker forecasts which admittedly are a joke yesterday we had a few barclays ubs well over 250p yet share price goes down i am now wondering if th emarket is now derating vodafone if so 200pence is not looking likely before ex dividend date and that is what i need to get out of this dog of a share 4 bad days out of five in the week and the other day just broke even
