real selling pressure on tw shares today i think too many holders have had enough and cannot see any real improvement coming soon can you not blame them whist fund managers are not buying

hi graham the problem is it is falling from an already low share price lately it usually picks up a few pence from the lows of 170p then gives up these gains in 1 or 2 days remember the day when it lost 7p in a single day this has happened 3 times before thinking this could be the fourth time if we head towards 171p today or tommorow i should have known it was to good to last yesterday there is just nothing i can see now that will lift the share price and i see it trading in the 170p to 175p range for the next few months

the usual fall after picking up a few pence it just cannot get past 175p

hello tom already had my daily budweiser i may have to start mixing it with some gin to drown my sorrows yes i admit it is better than 171p which it fell to yesterday and today but still way below where it should be enjoy your pint

flatlining at 173.3p for the last hour the market makers might as well keep it at this price until may 31 2019 there will be buyers at this price there will be sellers at this price the market makers get there commision

ftse up 60pts this dog just cannot rise what will it take for it to post a decent rise in a day

surprised to see these under 171p this is the fourth time this has happened after a mini rally any rise of a few pence is usually wiped out and we head downwards towards 170p after a few days this is becoming a joke now

hi bamps i am relatively new to investing in shares just over 2 years had some succesful trades and some not so succesful but my latest trade in tw has left me seriously underwater and seriously frustrated and yes chasing big yields does not work always better to go for growth and a lesser yield and you are right about my 2 options and i appreciate your kind advice

tw closing price 7 august 2017 191p we are about 20p a share down very hard to make this up when every 1p rise is a massive struggle yet in some days it just falls for fun i expect another of these days very soon normally get a couple of bad days a week

that is why bdev regularly outpermorms tw it is obvious and this has been happening for the last month and there is nothing to look forward to other than the measly 2.44p interim dividend yes there is the interim dividend of about 3p and the special dividend of 10.7p next year but that is a long time it will probably lose more than this going into may and could be trading at 155p trading just before ex special dividend 2019 i do not expect this dog to be trading anywhere near 200p or even above as much as i want it to i cannot even see 190p

bdev going up faster than this dog probably end flat for the day when at one point up about 1p but when this dog falls it will be about 4p or more in a day and you could get two days like this in a single week

terrace what you say about the dividend is true many people like myself even fund managers like woodford have bought tw at the peak and will be over 20p per share down much more than the vaunted 18.3p dividend and further share price weakness cannot be ruled out i know you only make a loss when you sell but people will sell because they see no prospects of share price recovery or need money to finance divorce bills or even an expensive girlfriend certainly for myself i have to live like a monk if i am able to manage on the measley 2.44p a share interim dividend so the expensive girlfriend is out of the question lol admittedly tw dividend payment is weighted towards april and may especially the special dividend

well i would not be surprised to see more falls of over 3p and more in a day followed by small rises of a penny or less than a penny followed by more falls of 3p or more in a day to then see a share price under 160p

i spoke too soon we will not even get a 1p rise take a regular hammering of over 3p a day and be happy to take rises of not even a penny a sure way to lose your money would have been better off keeping it in an instant access account at the bank and taking 1 per cent interest

hi tom it usually drops away late afternoon the exception was tuesday results day managed to rise 2.9p all the gains and more wiped out wednesday and thursday my gut feeling is there is more upside with bdev and if i sell tw and buy bdev will make up some of my losses as there just is no demand for tw especially with the measly 2,44 interim dividend it regularly loses more than this in a single day

have to be happy with a measly 1p rise bdev and persimmon up more today than this dog when it goes down it will be 3p or more in a single day would not be surprised to see it below 170p on monday

hello terrace i agree i am down over 20p a share and any mini rally usually is followed by another slump this has tested 170p on a few occasions and finally breached yesterday but i only have myself to blame i was taken in by the grand 5 year plan by tw on capital markets day as were a great many posters on this bulletin board if something is too good to be true then it probably is the market is looking beyond 2019 that is why there is a slump in the share price for a prolonged period you just have to look at the fall from last year over ten per cent down i know tw has bounced back before but this slump has gone on for a prolonged period

jabowski you were right about tw going below 170p this has surprised me and a lot of other people the investomania says the share price could fall further lol

hi graham i agree the share price will be stagnant until sentiment changes for the builders difficult to see this above 175p in the near future we are about ten per cent down from a year ago

Yes I also hope the price rise holds till close of play have to admit was ready to sell up at a massive loss at 173 and buy into Centrica as they were down about 5 per cent
