hi nige the problem with the share price lately is that it is one step forwards two steps backwards and we are always playing catch up even if we get a rise tomorrow which is not an absolute given the chances are we will just make up for todays fall if you look at the share price the day before last years results it was about 189p so we are 15pence down from last year on a greater yield i have just worked out that means we are about eight per cent down from a year ago the frustrating thing for me is i would have been better of investing in bdev the yield is less but yield means nothing in todays market generally a yield of over seven per cent signals that the market is not confident in the companys ability to maintain the dividend

3 sell trades at 10.54pm could be the same person about 200000 shares since then share price has dived i am surprised that a volume of just 200000 shares can have an effect like this on the share price

drop of over 1p in half an hour from high of 176.2 to 174.8 all the high value trades all sells do they know something about the results tommorow it is not looking good

jarcon i agree with what you say how else can you explain a share price which has languished in the 170s for over 4 weeks a lot of it in the low 170s the share price is effectively trading on a yield of the ordinary dividend alone i do not expect it to reach the usual highs prior to the payment of the special dividend the market has now got wise to this because you will lose more than twice the amount of the special dividend within a month.

closing price 186p 27 july 2017 we are about 12p lower than last year this is quite worrying when the projected yield is greater this time i just think the gap is to much to fill and we will not see the share price recover to the peaks of over 200p as a lot of people expect it to do so approaching the payment of the special divi 2019 might not even see 190p

we are now six per cent down from this time last year sooner or later the share price has to make an upwards move

probably finish in the red by close this is one dog of a share to own not expecting much of a rise on 31st july if any maybe 170 again is possible

here we go again it just cannot hold on to any decent rise but when it falls it knows how to fall

are you watching closely jakobowski you are not going to get your top up of 50 shares at under 170p will have to make do with your 500 shares you already have

hi johnson yes we finally got that 2p rise i keep going on about but after a 7p fall yesterday and other substantial falls since i bought these shares in late may it is going to be a long hard slog just to get my money back if ever i get it back in the first place

down 7p yesterday be lucky to get a 2p rise today a sure way to lose money

jakobowski you have missed the oppurtunity to top up 100 shares under 170p or was it 50 shares you were planning to buy

fall of over 5p on very low volumes this dog of a share knows how to fall but cannot post a rise of even 2p in a day when it goes up

it is very easy to be wise after the event but getting involved in india was a big mistake losing billions of pounds there and people wonder why the share price is falling

hi nige my ave price for tw is 203 bought just before the ex dividend in may have over 100000 shares and you are right you only make a loss when you actually sell my loss is only at the moment on paper and as long as i dont need the money i can wait for the share price to rise before selling but the problem is as you can tell from my posts it so frustrating seeing the share price slide and seeing your capital being eroded without any signs of a meaningful recovery in share price i have in the past on previous trades on tw when i have been losing money sold at a loss only for the damned shares to recover so this time trying to remain patient admittedly very difficult and yes you are right about missing the boat on bdev but that is investing for you and i also agree with you tw is vastly undervalued but the problem is the market does not think so at the moment
