sixth day running bdev is going up faster than taylor wimpey to be fair people are buying bdev and dumping tw the prospective yield is just not credible with tw i am surprised there are no broker forecasts adressng this concern what good is a ten pent when you are ten pent down on your capital

yes i agree but this happens to tw on a regular basis i have made numerous posts saying that tw lately just cannot post a rise of 2p or more in a single day this when the share price is already depressed it is just a kick in the teeth

What is it with this dog of a share that it always dips in the afternoon all the intraday gains wiped away and will have to probably make do with 0.5p rise

i am actually beginning to think that this stock has derated as it just cannot hold on to the day highs unlike bdev so maybe 180 is as good as it is going to get for tw and this price will be going into the ex dividend in may maximum i just cannot see where the next decent rise is going to come from yet when it falls it will drop 2p 3 p 4 p or more in a day

whatever the dividend date is they are only going to pay me my own money well down on these shares this feels like i have invested in a ponzi scheme i thought with the payment of the special dividend there would be demand for these shares as people reinvest but as usual down she goes

surely the date of 23 august is wrong as last year dividend date was 21 september

this has been flatlning at 177.05 for the past hour what is it with tw and flatlining

my calculation is that barratt will be about 600p just before payment of special dividend in october tw about 190p then so barratt will be going up twice as fast as tw

this is also my thinking i think barratts will go up at a faster rate than taylor wimpey as seen by the last 3 days because of the large dividend payable in october i should have sold my float in tw at a big loss and gone into barratts when they were trading sub 490p there is going to be a big demand for these shares now taylor wimpey have paid there special dividend there just is not that demand for tw shares also i believe the market is very unsure of the 5 year plan laid out by tw hence the fall in share price of about ten percent to a low of 171 from a peak of 191 ex dividend may 31

hello tom there was a large sell of over 5 million shares so that explains the selling pressure but i expect a lot of buying interest in the next week as the dividend payment hits peoples accounts where these shares will come from i have no clue as i expect around 100 million tw shares bought in the next 2 weeks so there has to be aabout 100 million tw shares sold to meet the demand

yes the problem is any rise in taylor wimpey usually disappears before the 4.30pm close we will be lucky to post a 1p rise while bdev are absolutely flying for the last 2 days and that company knows how to hold on to a share price increase

dying of boredom here for the past 2 hours share price has traded in the range 173.6 to 173.8 at this rate 190p where it should be is a long way off could take several months might not even get there
