The presentations have always shown production starting at 10000 bpd rising to 17000 over six months. It has also been clearly stated that the first six months will be used for data collection to enable planning of full field development. My personal impression of RT is that he will stick to this plan prioritising the data collection rather than winding production up as quickly as possible..

Four weeks production at 10000 bpd is 280000 bbls. The AM’s storage capacity 618000 bbls so I have no expectation of seeing a tanker after one months production. Will they order a shuttle tanker for less than half the storage capacity? I don't know but I am not going to get worried if a tanker hasn't turned up after a month.

I really hope HUR will be forthcoming with information on production rates because trying to interpret it from tanker movement can only be guesswork and more likely misleading.

I was wondering if the flow pipes connecting the manifold to the buoy would have to be purged of seawater unless they were sealed and somehow the seals were maintained during connection.
Regarding your final paragraph I had thought about puffet on ADVFN who claims to have a contact on the AM and whether HUR and or Bluewater have taken note.

Before hook up I assume there is very little to do but wait for a weather window, But after there will presumably be various things that have to be done before we have (that magic word) FOIL. It is something I had thought about asking. Any technical experts willing to say what those various things, procedures etc are, how long it will take, potential problems etc etc.

The article claims Ineos are in talks with Conoco to buy their NS assets including their interest in Clare. Talks a bit about JR but it contains a phrase referring to the NS as a dwindling basin prompting this comment:

"eke out what is left of the dwindling basin" Disingenuous, the writer has a very poor grasp of the petrocarbon Estate surrounding the UK of which the North Sea is only a part of. The hugely significant Lancaster field about to come into production has the potential to unlock a major new play as the first basement discovery to be developed in UK waters.

The Irish border is an extremely contentious matter steeped in history. You are probably right that experts, technocrats can come up with a viable solution which in an ideal world could work. The fact of the matter is that politicians will decide, not experts, and politicians will decide in accordance with their tribal interests regardless of whether that is in the collective interest. The EU want a backstop which is unacceptable to the DUP and possibly some english MP's. Why is it unacceptable? Because it is a foregone conclusion that the EU will declare the primary arrangement is not working and will force the backstop as further retribution.

As I have explained to my son I lived through a long period of time starting in my teenage years when the daily news was dominated with reports of shootings and bombings in Northern Ireland. I am not advocating a fence simply pointing out that the brexetiers conveniently ignored majors hurdles. If there is a customs border in the Irish Sea you might as well say that Ireland is a united county. Sinn Fein will have achieved their goal. If the Tory government falls and Corbyn gets in how long do you expect NI to remain part of the UK, not to mention Gibralter and the Falklands; and of course there will be the economic disaster.

The Brexetiers thought EU politicians would heed the advice of their manufacturers and agree a sensible deal. They were too dumb to realize that politicians are politicians and those in the EU are determined to punish the UK even if it hurts their own industry.
