Agreed. I also played here a while back with 'mixed' success. Thats the other thing about Shanta that I like, the exploration upside potential is very substantial here. The CEO wants to push the exploration side in tandem with further development (underground) And that will be recognised in a buoyant gold market. There is I feel still a slightly lingering confidence issue but one more good operational update + pog should kick that into touch hopefully.

Now I've just tried a dummy buy and anything over 50k's worth and I'm paying way over the quoted ask at something around 7.14 So its not going to take much more demand to move this above 7p. Lets see what happens...

I've checked things out with my broker and I'll be taking the offer for sure. If you look at the PRU SP it has not dropped despite the coming dilution due to the T/O. To me that means the market likes it and accepts the additional value AMA will bring to the party. Will only take a modest rise in PRU SP from here to be in the money already on the warrants too. Indeed I think the warrants will be a big winner for those with a bit of patience and foresight. The gold price will be a Big factor too.

Does that mean you have dipped your toe in? If Gold keeps rising this will soon be the other side of 7p. Indeed I'm confident it will be the other side of 10p after the April operational update. If you look at Q4 2015 update they easily surpassed general production guidance. Admittedly that's because they hit higher grades than expected but who's to say that won't continue for a while. My feeling is that they will exceed this years production guidance and allied to a rising gold price is a highly attractive combination.

Timeless - you were bang on the money. Singers clearly have no stock. I can't buy a bean this morning. That's the FIRST time this has happened to me here when trying to deal. They are stuck. There are no sellers so they HAVE to raise the price, probably above 2p to get any sellers. It's pretty clear.

But MM's can't fill orders today. I can only buy 10,000. If I want anymore they can't fill it. I can dummy sell for 1.7511 yet the mid price quoted is... 1.75. They are clearly struggling so the obvious thing to do is raise the price because demand is clearly exceeding supply yet they are trying again to hold the price. Tick tock....

Under the old management a drop in SP between news would get me worried because it normally meant 'something' was amiss. But not now. The new management under Toby are really on the game and I think we'll see further evidence of that in the April so unconcerned. Gold price rocketing again after Granmas latest pearls of wisdom.

Ahhh you're to blame... ;) all the best to you and shame it didn't work out for you. I see things slightly differently and I don't think gains on PRU are necessarily going to be long term. The gold price will play a significant role and once sentiment improves further in the sector I believe PRU will get a rerating. They will have rather a lot of gold on their books for a junior-intermediate? And once the price rises above the warrant exercise that comes into play too. Yes, you have to have a longer horizon but not as long as you believe.... I believe!

750k trade @ 16:11 is clearly a BUY. Quite a big trade for Kolar. Looks like it was worked/filled order. Encouraging end to a disappointing day showing the big buyers are there.

It's quite clear that some people are bailing out accepting quite a discount to the actual Perseus offer. For example I hold 75k shares here and the value of my Amaranth holding @ 12.63 is £750 less than the offer.
