Like some I was perhaps expecting the SP to dip a bit this morning as, ostensibly, this was a 'bad' announcement. But as somebody else observed its not always easy to gauge AIM reactions!

Perhaps there will be a low ball offer? The stock is heavily discounted to NPV. The significant thing for me is the SP holding firm at this level - thus placing failure was effectively priced in. Clearly if nothing now happens short term the SP may drift but I have a feeling things wont pan out like that.

One way or another they couldn’t get the placing away. Why? They say due to market conditions. That’s rubbish. They only announced the placing two days ago! They knew what market conditions were and would’ve assessed them before announcing, they haven’t changed in two days!

So what is the real reason? The placing was an ABB. Thus the reason is simple, they couldn’t get it away. At least not at the price they wanted. £100m is a LOT of money to raise when you’re on the junior market and the takers weren’t there in sufficient quantity and/or at a reasonable price (from Bcn perspective).

Do they have any other realistic options? They must’ve already looked at debt finance - clearly wasn’t a goer.

So where are they left now? It’s a waiting game I guess.

I was slightly surprised to see a CD4 update this morning but, in the event, it is a non-announcement. The company had already stated that B2B sales would be very modest in this financial year and the likelihood of adding a few more distributors is not going to change that situation. The game changer will be receiving WHO prerequisite approval because this will allow for significant tender sales to NGO's. Thats where the real money will come from. This crucial milestone quoting the company 'is likely to occur in the second half of this financial year'

Thats what I am keeping my eyes on but not going to happen for a few months so we're likely to see some summer hibernation here for now.

It is sheer naivety to imagine you can trade an illiquid stock every time the price moves.

Yesterdays and this mornings buys are not 'significant' imv they could easily be (and more likely to be) a single PI building a position. I very much doubt an institution would waste their time buying in £1k chunks or thereabouts.

The SP has dropped back beneath the price the Chinese are prepared to pay. I would not expect this situation to continue. I'm hoping the Chinese will be able to conclude the conditions for the deal quickly. If so, as I stated previously, we'll be substantially north of this price soon enough.

At 1.43p this is already valued at a hefty £43m! With ZERO resource or reserves. What that means in essence is you are taking a a BIG risk buying at these prices.

Oh sure there’s no shortage of hype here and much uber ramping. But be very careful and only invest what you are prepared to lose. Let’s not forget it was only a short few months ago and it was being heavily pushed that Newmont were going to grab one of GGP’s host of ‘potential multi million ounce’ prospects. What happened? They walked away after seeing what they had.

RS buying AGAIN?

I think the market is waiting for the inevitable placing to raise funds to drill 10,000m in Salinbas! That money does not come out of thin air and one would imagine the bulk of revenue coming from the RR JV is being channelled into repaying debt.

Yes its certainly looking better. The £31.5k yday was a buy imo. I'm still out but I'd be encouraged if I were you in terms of the SP firmness. And maybe poor results are priced in? Market looking ahead to CD4?

Are clearly a bit long in the tooth here. Understandable for long termers. But the Chinese JV, once ratified, will open the door to a SP well in excess of the premium 11p the Chinese investors are already prepared to pay. Its not in the bag yet. Not until the JV business license is granted but once it is its all systems go. People need to remember the Chinese market is huge and they are systematically addressing environmental issues - because they have to!

Are quite often a harbinger of future intended fundraisings.

SP is holding up comfortably above placing price 50p. I’d say that’s definitely positive.

Hmmm I’m seeing the current SP weakness as a potential trading opportunity. Chart indicators are favourable for a bounce imo plus from RNS page it’s been a couple of months so I reckon news must due soon.

Can’t see much downside from here unless there is a continued news lull.

Even at 1.4p this is valued at £42m!! Ridiculous. Far too much hot air and hype here.

NO resource or reserves. There are other explorers with bigger resource and one, Ariana, which is a producer too valued at a third of this stock. Some reality due here.
