Can any of the bulls here make a case for why anyone should invest before 2026? Answer: because now you can buy it at a better price because of all the people who are thinking like you and selling/not buying. If you wait, then how do you know that other people won't be the clever ones and buy first with the rationale that it's better to buy a bit earlier at a very low price even if it means waiting a couple of months longer, rather than waiting, and taking the risk that others will decide to be the ones to jump in early first, pushing up the price.

RIght. I always expected an announcment like this or the gradual realisation it would take longer for a deal with a subsequent better opportunity for buying cheap, but because I saw a small chance that it might be on schedule I didn't want to take the risk of being out of it, but basically this is what I expected to happen and there should be some good opportunities to top up.

I'm so tempted to point out OTM's contradictions, but on balance, I prefer to let him carry on deramping so I can buy more cheaper, not sure if I will manage to stop myself going forward though, will see.

Johnson & Johnson has agreed to buy privately held cancer drugmaker Halda Therapeutics for $3bn in the latest hotly contested pursuit of a biotech.

I don't think that CGT calculation is right, the announcement says that 32m of the options are in an "unapproved plan" and 8m in an EMI plan. Chatgpt is telling me that with unapproved plans, the deemed profit is taxable as income as soon as the options are exercised: ("Tax point is exercise. The “spread” at exercise (market value of the shares at exercise minus the exercise price you pay) is employment income, not CGT. If the shares are readily convertible assets (RCA) (e.g., there’s a listing or a sale in train), the employer must run this through PAYE and usually NICs at exercise.

– CGT only arises when you later sell the shares, on the gain/loss from your base cost (exercise price + any amount already taxed as employment income) to the sale proceeds."

Based on this, more tax would be payable than in your calculation if all 40m options were exercised.

More lies from onetomany, Tim was not at all different, he we completely confident and said deals would be by the end of the year, exactly the same as before. No reason whatsoever for thinking anything has changed, everyone should see the interview for themselves to see how onetomany is lying.

Lifesagame, what on earth do you mean "If that is how he is presenting to big pharma he will be eaten alive" - what did he say that you don't like? I can;t see that he said anything less positive than in the previous interviews? Or are you just deramping to suit yourself?

I believe (like someone previously also suggested) that there is a risk of a hostile takeover, or maybe an agreed takeover is being negotiated (in one of the interviews he said the deal will "probably" be a standard licensing deal), so it's in the interests of shareholders that the share price gets pushed up now as much as possible to ensure better terms. Not saying definitely, but it does seem to be a reasonable explanation.

I note some accusing Tim of making false promises. Can someone give actual quotes and referenecs to where he made these supposedly false promises? Were they actual promises or just hoping eg hoping to make a deal quickly? If so that's not the same as a false promise. This time he has more or less said it will happen this year.

Also re saying there wouldn't be a fundraise and then there was - when exactly did he say this and when was the fundraise?

The RNS also said "Quadrise and Valkor are currently negotiating a compensation payment to the Company for the deferral of payment of the initial licence fee due to the Company in the amount of USD$350,000 which was originally due in January 2025." So it sounds clear that Valkor did not pay what was due on time. Have we been previously informed of this?

BTW it's important to distinguish between what supply could be at full load, and what total actual supply is likely to be in a year, given that some of these powers stations are just there to provide backup supply in case there is insufficuent from hydroelectric. So I would be very interested if anyone knows what total actual supply is likely to be to all the potential interested parties.
