I’m probably misinterpreting the RNS but isn’t the total value that VELA get a fixed price and it’s only the number of shares that is determined by the VWAP. So in theory if VELA were to exercise the PUT option but keep the shares for a while they could benefit from a low VWAP if the shares went up but obviously lose out if the SP continued to go down

Big Dave , isn’t the vwap based on the 10 days from the first trading day of the merger becomes live

Joe, you will not be able to sell that many shares at that price in one go until the market sees a big rush to buy in. The rise currently is nothing compared to what could/should happen over the next few days. As always people will sell and make a small profit. Some will have bought in the low teens and will have sold. The logic says the SP will rise far higher. Take ya bets!

If people were waiting on the side lines before buying in they will know the result of the merger now without VELA having to RNS it. In some ways it’s a good thing because the SP may not be hiked up at 8AM. Time to buy in the cheap possibly.

I’m hoping for an intraday result on the merger whenever that might be. That way people have time to load up or dump depending on the outcome.

Not sure who is more culpable. ICON or the FCA for approving the prospectus. Scandalous behaviour.

The current SP is equivalent to 0.00135p prior to consolidation.

I think some are having itchy feet the closer we get to D-Day. Personally I would have thought the closer we got the more would buy in but it maybe to do with the pending latest update on VELAs results which may put a damper on it

You do realise that whatever business plan ICON have it can only be paid for by allotting more shares.

Don't know if you all are aware but the FCA are changing the rules for standard listed companies. They must have a regulated financial sponsor equivalent to a nomad. Companies that have no commercial business are unlikely to attract a sponsor as the sponsor like a nomad is responsible for regulatory compliance and can be fined.

The standard and premium listing is to be replaced with one category called - ESCC (Equity Shares in Commercial Companies).

Many standard listed companies that have no demonstrable business and listed solely to fleece PIs will be heading for the exit and placing as many shares as they can before the curtain finally comes down.

On the first day of consolidation the SP was 27.5p and now it’s down to 19p. Based on the SP prior to consolidation the SP was 0.00275 and today it would have dropped to 0.0019

Under 10p is coming with no positive news!!
