Calm down a bit sensetalka........BA are only envisaging 30% SAF in 30 years time! And that's an aspiration. The biggest issue is SAF is hugely more expensive than Jet fuel. Of course, that will change as economies of scale flow from increased SAF volume but I think the cost is something like 4 times Jet fuel so it will require government mandates to unlock, as i previously said. It's a long term play

I should have added, for those that are not aware..........SAF can be readily mixed with ordinary Jet fuel (Jet A1) with upto 50% SAF as current standard. Even by 2050, BA are only anticipating 30% of the their fuel will be SAF. The market is literally huge - SAF has grown significantly this year, in spite of aviation volumes being significantly down due to covid. Government mandates will unlock this

I was on a virtual conference last week and the Head of Sustainability for IAG (BA) believed that they would have 14 SAF plants in the UK by 2035, 8% of their fuel. By 2050 over 50 plants, 30% of their fuel. One World alliance have also committed to net zero emissions by 2050. The major issues are the capital and revenue risk, and the key to unlocking this is government policy. They are looking at an intra EU mandate to unlocking this in the first instance, but he seemed very confident that this was achievable. Very encouraging all in all. Let's hope VLS can play a key part in the journey. GLA

That's true DartPhart, but highly unusual. Trump was the first President to exercise that right for many many years. Perhaps it's now set a precedent but I find it unlikely that Sleepy Joe will do so.

The Republicans are set to secure North Carolina and Alaska in the Senate, giving them 50 seats. 51 is majority. 2 seats in Georgia are set for a run off on Jan 5th, and the Republicans will be confident of securing at least 1 of these.
The Republicans have made sweeping gains in the House too, but the Democrats should still retain their majority here.

Back to EQT, i'm surprised this hasn't sustained a bounce at all. I'll be looking at topping up at the end of the month if it stays at this level

Evening all. I've been monitoring this share for a number of years now...........was kicking myself when i didn't take the plunge at 2p when i had the chance. However, I have more capital available now and am still interested now it's at this level. However, I am concerned that a further cash raise will be required in the next 6 months, looking at their cash burn. What are others thoughts on this?

Lots of talk in Han****'s briefing about rapid LFTs, with a specific comment on 'had we not secured the huge capacity for lateral testing we now have'. I strongly believe they've already done a deal to lock in all the AVCT capacity for the next 6 months. IMO, GLA

FWIW I would love to be proved wrong as I’m invested in EQT, PHE, VLS and SAE, having sold off Ceres just recently (perhaps too soon). Either way, the future will be bright for these companies, particularly in Europe
