Think this one has been overlooked but it's huge - this is the Government strategy and AVCT are going to be front and centre by creating a passport for a few days. All part of Operation Moonshot.

Q23: What are the requirements, if any, for Avacta to have suitable technology (a smartphone app of some sort) alongside the LFT that records the results of the tests? If so, does this impact the rollout plan for the test?

There is no formal requirement at this time for the LFD test to have a reader or an associated smartphone app for it to work; the intention is that the test will be read by eye. However, there is likely to be additional benefit to the test working in conjunction with a smartphone app so that the result can be read objectively, communicated for track and trace purposes and so that a “passport” can be provided for a few days for those with a negative result, collectively creating an audit trail linking the test result generated by a certain test to a specific individual at a specific point in time. Avacta is working with partners and aims to have a smartphone app available at the time of launch to provide this additional functionality.

I agree Chuck, it is an interesting sector, which is what attracted me to the company in the first place. But I'm sceptical on BIDS potential to be crowned king............what is their USP?

There surely must be plenty of other companies currently filling this space

It seems no more than a punt to me. £27m mcap for a company losing c. £5m a yr and generating revenues in the hundreds of thousands

An interesting update, full of promise. Clearly shows what they have been working away at, and the many strings to the bow they have. It seems all the building blocks are being put in place currently.

There's probably little to support the current mcap of £65m, apart from the money in the bank, so in that regard there is a disconnect, but there is also a lot of potential here to buy into. For that reason, I wouldn't want to exit, as collabs could be transformational. It'll be an interesting 12-18 months ahead

I think it dropped on the back of the big seller, and now they're out , it's moving back higher. All semantics anyway........hope we have a positive update on Monday

Hi guitarman, welcome. I haven't been in as long as some, so won't have all the backdrop. I bought in at a similar level 2.25p, when Woodford pulled out. Him leaving decimated the SP, along with others such as XSG. It was a shame because he had a good eye for micro cap companies with big potential, of which both XSG and ITX are. I agree it is undervalued still here, and probably still has a little overhang from the recent past. I don't think it helped when John Shaw threatened to take it private.........that sort of thing spooks investors. That is all in the past now, and they're on a stable footing and upward trajectory. They'll no longer need any share placing dilutions and the Directors have a lot of skin in the game so expect this to continue to rise. Sales are rising exponentially atm. GL
