Anyway, the Republicans are certain to gain 50 seats with the other 2 run offs in Georgia where they look strong, strong enough to gain at least 1 of them for a majority. They’ve also given the Democrats a kicking in House, despite the Democrats throwing many millions at their campaign.

I have little preference on who is President, Trump would be marginally better for business/economy, Biden would be for environment but impact is massively overstated either way. They are more akin to figureheads

Signing the Paris agreement would merely be symbolic. It’s baseless, there’s no binding enforcement. The only thing that would help is US policies to support the sector. That’s looking unlikely with the Republicans controlling the Senate and making sweeping gains in the House

I can't find a specific article on this, but on linkedin CLH (who took over the GPSS pipeline from the UK government some 5 years ago) posted the following:

'With the recent announcement by the UK Ministry of Defence of the inclusion of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) in Def Stan 91-091, CLH-PS is well positioned to play a pivotal role in the use of SAF in UK Aviation, improving the sustainability of our industry.'

I don't know how many know about the pipeline network, but it originates from World War 2 and runs across the country, with branches to Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted, to various fuel depots and MOD sites. This is hugely significant news, which can't be understated. Parcels of fuel would be put into the pipeline network from various fuel suppliers at Immingham, Hallen, Stanlow, Isle of Grain, Oikos, Shellhaven and fuel is often co-mingled and batched. Clearly it is not possible to put SAF in the network if one of the main players (MOD) does not accept it. However, with this announcement, it means SAF can be readily transported through the pipeline network, reducing cost, increasing scale/scope and creating a framework for wider utilisation. As I say, this is transformational and a huge obstacle out the way for the likes of VLS. GLA

This deal helps unlock much needed shareholder value, whichever way you look at it. My average is 6p still and whilst you can always hope for better, these are the cards we have been dealt and this deal will still transform the company from a good prospect to a revenue generating company. It's inflection point

Whilst Biden would be positive for green investment, he wouldn't be good for markets in general. I don't trust the polls and think Trump will get back in. It was like over here when the wacky left made all the noise and people who voted Tory kept quiet - same will apply with Republicans

Yes, good spot revolutionary. Net debt was $55m at end of March. The sale of the farm was $10m and net debt is now $39m. This is actually in line with the previous year, where they seem to be paying down debt at a rate of $12m a year. This is the most significant piece of news from a fairly run of the mill trading update. Getting the $ debt down is key, particularly as it will reduce interest payments. We're firmly now on a path towards a firmer financial footing but the impact of Covid and Zambian politics still loom large. Remains one for the long term

We're also still at relatively low SP levels. It was dragged down by the risk of running out of money and the threat of taking private. They are now out the way. Past results are useful and interesting but not the focus for me. I didn't expect the SP to shoot up today off the back of them, unlike others, because most of that information was already in the public domain. It was still nice seeing the move to positive territory in terms of EBIT but the key for me is the outlook, which is bright.

I think the SP will continue it's gradual rise up during the next year. I look forward to more developments and partnerships, which will widen ITX's exposure. It's all looking very promising
