Featured on the local BBC news this evening, providing hydrogen fuel cells to construction sites, not just talking about it, actually doing it. So much for AB and our first mover advantage, also amazingly they can do it without needing to use ammonia. Time for AB to deliver and stop spouting garbage.

Seeing as Cheekboy very kindly invited me back by saying my name (like Beetlejuice haha!), I have to question how after a year and a half since the Dunsfold dash we’ve still only got one order, when the EV charger was announced many on here said if there’s no orders after 6 months they would start getting worried. AB has given so many hints that orders are coming over the years and with the completion of the assembly hangar I really believed orders would be announced but yet again AB has come up with another delay - he’s having to ask advisors how best to announce orders ! You really couldn’t make it up !

Oh dear, I’ve just had a look at the AFC recruitment page and they are looking for a whole range of disciplines but under current vacancies they only have embedded software engineer, when clicking on the link (on iPhone) the formatting is all off. As this is the only current vacancy I guess they must have filled all the other roles since receiving the £60m

Oh I will be Chippy, anything above 66p (my last topup) and I will gradually start reducing my holding here. Really had enough now of the rhetoric, the media storm, the flightpath to sales, the growing pipeline of sales, even JR whose now famous phrase right products at the right price at the right time has been and gone with no sales.

Thanks Rocky, I have already started taking profits from AFC and divested into Eqtec and PHE, makes me feel much better like yesterday when AFC was down 4% for no real reason and PHE finished up 10%. You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

For LTH’s it’s irksome to keep hearing patience required. I Bought in 6 years ago at the same SP we are at now, some will have bought in 2011 at the same SP we are at now, so when you say patience required how many years are you thinking ?

A brilliant example of this is the award for the contract to produce the BBC Micro computer.

Superstarr not sure why you and a few others think orders will be announced once the production facility is ready, do you really think AFC would turn down an order before it was ready ? One of my favourite quotes is, if asked if you can do something say yes even if you can’t and then go away and work out how you’re going to do it

Bought in too early lol, only 6 years for me, 12 years for some and one sale, we’ll actually we’re not even sure it is a sale, sly AB said a financial transaction had taken place. On Twitter he even said thank you so much for the offer (from Extreme E) for allowing us to take part, made me wonder if we paid them ! Why can’t AB just tell us ?
When AFC announced the Rolec partnership everyone was as excited as the recent partnerships, Rolec has come to nothing, they even announced a competitors battery solar system for off grid charging, you do have to wonder if AB will ever succeed, he’s one of those that fail upwards

We still don’t have an off the shelf system deployed anywhere so customers can view it in action and know the cost of ownership, will they be cheaper to run than a diesel generator even without the subsidy ? Have AFC even run one long enough to answer this ? If you’re on a building site and you run out of ammonia you can’t just pop down to the local petroleum station with a petrol can, lots of unanswered questions still after all this time

I do wish people’s concerns would not be dismissed with condemnation but with reasoned argument.
Every PI should be concerned about delays, we’ve been told to be patient for years and what have we achieved? Sale of one bespoke unit

Scarpa, in the words of AB I hope so, I’d say the odds are 50/50 at the moment.

We had the first commercial order for AFC with Southern Oil, on hold due to SO making changes to their plant, must be done by now, any update ?
We announced the worlds first EV charger about a year and a half ago, no volume orders to date.
We have a trial with Acciona, they have delayed the trial due to Covid, in that case can we not get the Julich system out quicker since there is less manpower tied up on the Acciona system.
The manufacturing unit will soon be completed, many II’s are expecting volume orders to be announced soon after, will they ?

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in all the years I’ve been on investing forums is that those people who have or claim to have significant sums invested are the most arrogant condescending people you will ever meet and those with very little are courteous and polite

AB has said many times we are not competitive in these areas, I would see this investment as upgrading the grid, I simply cannot see a large EV charging forecourt being supplied with hydrogen deliveries

Yes but you wouldn’t if you were hiring a car for example. At the end of a mortgage you own the property, we are still not certain who will own this system once EXtreme E are done with it, maybe AFC want it as a demo system

Good to hear they refer to the system as Extreme E’s hydrogen fuel cell which suggests they did actually buy it rather than hire it or lease it. When AB was questioned about it all he would say was that a commercial transaction had taken place

That £3m buy on Friday must have got other investors/funds attention, media, extreme E all building nicely for the next bull run
