Still lots of ‘hope’ right now. I for one hope that if ABB validate our tech it’s not too long from prototype to deployment. I still find it incredibly frustrating that a competitor is inviting contracting firms to site to see their off grid charger in action while we are told that due to the delay caused by Acciona nothing is happening

Maybe ‘I’m not worried by daily SP movements’ would like to comment, he’s clearly not worried that other suppliers are way ahead of AFC so knowing he’s a millionaire with a large holding at least I can relax and know there’s a good reason why this isn’t the least bit concerning

Taskmaster thanks for the links, interesting that Geopura are deploying chargers using hydrogen rather than ammonia, we were told it’s not commercially viable due to the low energy density yet there is a market after all, makes you wonder why we haven’t won any of these contracts. Oh I remember, Brexit and Covid, we were delayed in the production and no customers were buying.

At the end of the day it's not just me that has some doubts, look at the share price, that should tell you that plenty of others do too, otherwise, as has been questioned, why isn't everyone piling in ?

Quizz, where else have you heard that orders are on their way then ? From what we have been told so far there is no guarantee ABB will choose the AFC fuel cell, Hitachi ABB are already working with Powercell AB on EV chargers, what if ABB decide not to use AFC, have you even given that an ounce of thought ? We have no choice but to start mass manufacture, AB can't put it off any longer, this could be the punt of all punts but as i said, we'll all know if and when we start getting orders, right now everything is speculation and AB hoping we will get orders (that's his words)

it's simple for me, when customers start buying, so will investors ! All we've got at the moment and have had for many years is AB's word that orders are on their way.

Ammonia fuel cells can be considered either direct or indirect, depending on where the decomposition of ammonia occurs. Indirect ammonia fuel cells involve thermally decomposing ammonia to release hydrogen. The method of ammonia decomposition for on-site generation of hydrogen for fuel cells has been widely proposed and reviewed. Direct ammonia fuel cells, however, reap the benefits of using ammonia directly within the fuel cell and truly utilise the chemical energy stored within ammonia itself. This eliminates the necessity of on-board hydrogen storage and bypasses the decomposition step. This leads to savings in facility and operating costs, improving the overall efficiency. The potential of ammonia as a hydrogen carrier has more recently been recognised through the concept of green ammonia. As the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy becomes more prominent, companies such as BP who are heavily involved as oil and gas majors have included green ammonia within their portfolio of clean energy technology. In May 2020, BP Australia announced the management of a feasibility study in Geraldton to establish a route for the full integration of a green supply chain by 2021. The pilot-scale involves a 20 000 ton/year green ammonia plant distributing to domestic markets and could amount up to 1 000 000 ton per year (1.5 GW capacity).34 This opens up significant new markets and provides a pathway to decarbonise an array of products that may be reliant on fossil fuels.

and ABB have an MOU with Hydrogene de France for marine applications, so it seems ABB have many partnerships, i'm sure there is room for everyone as it's such a huge market.

ABB have been deploying fuel cells in partnership with Ballard and Powercell AB so it will be interesting how the AFC partnership compares, maybe this is why AB has been focusing on the use of Ammonia so much recently.

Too funny that some on here think mine and a few others have the same impact on the AFC share price as Elon does on Bitcoin that our posts on a single chat board affect the SP, really couldn't make it up. Who was arguing with me not long ago that Bitcoin mining uses spare energy or mostly renewable ?

Not rubbish at all, first question was from Panmure Gordon, ‘do you have your IP in the ammonia cracker or is it something you are buying in from outside ?’. The answer was we’ve got some IP and we’re developing more at the moment.

Wasn't it mentioned in an early Extreme E RNS that initially they would be using bottled hydrogen as the solar array may not have enough time to produce the required hydrogen for the race ? It's all this glossing over which is probably why the SP is where it is, nobody can tell where we are at with key components.

Does anyone know how much the subsidy is worth and how long it would take a construction company to recoup the cost of purchasing a fuel cell generator ? I've got a diesel car which gets taxed more and more each year but the cost of replacing it would never be recouped from the increases in road tax or fuel, just as an example.
