Raven, not sure how long you've been invested with AFC but we already have a new website so i wouldn't get too excited, if there is going to be another new website then it's clearly a waste of our money. The current website hasn't done anything to bring orders in so no reason why a new one should.

BB, I think it’s safe to say that based on ABs historical deliberate ambiguity in announcements one thing is for certain, it does mean sales any time soon.

That's my worry TM, that the AFC system is far behind competitors by the time our system is due to be trialled they will already have chosen an alternative system and our trial gets dropped, so much for first mover advantage !

it's highly unlikely that the new unit will be full of units being assembled for several reasons noted by AFC.

and then from the half year report -
We stated in our July 2020 fundraising of £31.6 million that the proceeds would be used to support the continued development of the Company as it moves from the development phase of its products and technology into the manufacture and commercialisation of them. The scale up of our manufacturing capabilities, an increase in headcount and increased investment in our technology and assets resulted in an operating loss of £3.6 million (2020: £2.1 million). Investment in fixed assets of £1.8 million comprised the fit out of the assembly & commissioning facility, the build of the Extreme E system and additional AEM fuel cell test stands. Furthermore, £0.5 million has been invested in stock for systems to be delivered later this year.

Let me just remined you of all the classic Bond quotes of the past 2-5 years, and i don't mean 'shaken not stirred', for all those that maybe new to AFC,

what's a sector thing ? AB works for AFC, he doesn't work for the sector. I made no comment about the share price.

So you think it's acceptable for advisors to take half the year to decide how best to announce the current order book ?

Trust in AB being eroded daily while we wait for the advisors to advise no how best to announce the order book - or lack of ?

DW, the wording is effectively 'we have orders, how do we tell shareholders', so we are not waiting for an order to arrive, we are waiting for advisors to advise how to tell us we have orders, that shouldn't take until next month.

Without wanting to be accused of being impatient having waited for orders since the big fanfare of 2016, seriously how long does everyone think it will take for the advisors to conclude how best to announce the order book ? OR will this be yet another gem that AB will hope quietly disappear ?

Over 2 weeks ago now in the RNS we were told - The Directors are working with advisors and partners to establish the best means by which the Company will be able to disclose details of its order book and its commercial pipeline in order to provide confidence to the market of the Company's prospects.
I'm just wondering how long this phone call is going on for !

Tvr, only one problem with your comment, we’ve been here before in 2016, big fanfare with new 10kw system launch -
Completion of AFC Energy's 10kW system design and basic engineering included the conduct of a thorough examination of all safety aspects and functions of the system using the Hazard Operability ("HAZOP") methodology for process hazard assessment. The HAZOP was conducted at the Company's Dunsfold offices in the last week of June, with participants from AFC Energy, plantIng GmbH and independent fuel cell and hydrogen expert consultancy Efficientics, which chaired the proceedings.

Detailed engineering & procurement will now commence, ensuring the system will be deployable within 2016 as articulated in Milestone 4 of the Company's Strategic Milestones. Project management, process engineering, procurement, design and construction management are all within the remit of plantIng's engineering team, closely supported by AFC Energy's staff in accordance with the two companies' strategic partnership agreement.

The difference this time is that AB has £60m to spend so there’s not a lot else he can do with all that cash. He’s painted himself into a corner. I really would not be surprised if he moves on soon without being held accountable for no orders.

As DW often says, we will see. It could be the VHS vs Betamax fight with fuel cells, while we have to wait until the end of the year for a trial and then possibly months of redesigning/modifications and purchasing long lead time items and certifications this company and others like them will be flooding the market with cheap and cheerful fuel cells

The point is is that construction sites are using them so there is clearly a demand for their product regardless of the downsides.
