This company is starting to look like they are in trouble now! The Santos deal was to be a bit of a smoke screen to cover over Fortuna but the market is seeing straight through it. The board have to come to some sort of decision now about Fortuna before theres nothing left of this share! Some of the Board members must be thinking about walking now?

Looks like the Santos deal isn't going to stop this heading in to the 30's for the first time!

The market as lost all confidence in the shambolic board, it can't see passed the Fortuna mess.

I think what the last year has told us is that this share has no bottom, I suspect the board expected the price to told in the low 50's.

I've owned these for years, I started to buy when they were in the £'s and I've seen nothing but decline in the price.
The way I see it for the stupidly low share price is all down to poor board decisions over the years, false promises and bad timing. The board left Nick Copper in charge with no challenge then woke up in May and got rid!

I would imagine that some of the institutions that hold Ophir would like sell up and use the money in a more profitable investment. What I would like to see happen is for Ophir to reduce the number of shares in the form of a buy back and then see some new Institutional investors look at Ophir as a good investment for the future.

This is not looking good! The board had one thing up their sleeve and that was the Santos deal and they even botched that up by miss timing the release of it? Even with that I wouldn't have expected the continued drop?

I wasn't expecting miracles today but I was expecting better than this?

To me this looks like a good deal and finally a step in the right direction.

The lack of anything from the Board is unbelievable, I'm not sure what to make of it? It is almost borderline dodgy. Are they trying to drive the share price down so they look more appealing for suitors? It's been 3 months since they mentioned Santos and still nothing, very weird.

I think the way the price has dived over the last few months, it has us a bit paranoid now!

The way I see it going now is once Santos deal is done we will see a turn around in the fortunes of Ophir?

I hope you're right even just to put me out of my misery, but I think you are over valuing Ophir's assets, they have acreage just sitting Idle and anything of meaning they have discovered no one wants!

The board has misjudged the situation again in thinking this was going hold above 50, they thought they could take their time as usual.

I said on this board months ago that this will have no bottom until they get their mess sorted out!

The trouble with that logic is if someone does come in for Ophir it will be at a price of around 60p-70p a share!
If that was to happen I and all of the long term holders would loss fortunes in this terribly run company.

NC is to get over four hundred grand pay off! You could not make this up! Something is very wrong with this company. We have hit 3 record finishing prices in a row this week?

How low is this going? Do the Board see what's happening? The price has been collapsing for years and they keep getting massively rewarded for this? No wonder they're not in any hurry to bring any news out.

The market has decided that after hearing the trading update the board are in no hurry to bring any positive news to the table so it is looking for new lows to sit at!

Totally agree. It seems to me that they are just waiting for the right time to write down Fortuna with the smoke screen of Sanstos! The trouble with Ophir is that they are terrible at trying to plan anything and it all ends up in disaster. It is almost like the board have never worked in the O&G industry, Amateurs at best!!!

2 months on from NICK getting the boot and still no news or progress? Why is taken so long even to send out a circular to the shareholders about the Santos deal?

Let's hope that this update is a lot better than last year's one? If they don't have any good news it could get messy. There's a real positive feel around O&G stocks just now, it's almost criminal that we've not benefited from this.

What a terrible stock this is!
