Delighted to learn this, hope you are right and will keep a look out for AUS3009 s posts, brighten up a dull day and takes some of the sting out of the impact with BTs performance.
LOL £5 a share, maybe in our dreams but that was an old joke years ago on here, might be £5 a share at some point in the future and if lucky i our life times?
Held
Silly question but any one know where some one with old share certificates can sell BT shares without setting up some account and paying monthly charges etc?
LOL AP reminds me of the flim Beetlejuice just say his name 3 times, Jinia know Rod said some very controversial
things but tbh always liked his posts even if i disagreed with them. My own view on BT is long term hold for income even with inflation and capital invested in BT going down theres still a good chance of long term gain
No know or perhaps know no, sod this lets make a petition to bring back Rod to brighten up dull and boring subjects?
BT Group shares ripe for a re-rating, says JPMorgan, Looks like JPM has been taking Rods advice, perhaps time may prove him correct, pity he has stopped posting as he brightened every ones day.
Rod if that was your last post then this site will be a much duller and boring place, Theres only one thing worse that being talked about and thats not being talked about.
Continue to brighten every ones days with your well thought out posts and if any one does not want to read your posts then thats up to them, good luck and good ribbons springs to mind.
Perhaps if BT does start talking with a foreign investor and the unions do cause a strike, BT shares may fall because of lost income making a take over more likely? Catch 22 do not like a take over go on strike and then a possibility becomes a probability plus the foreign investor would then want shot of what they may consider an unwanted work force and union.
Are BT pensions linked to the RPI? far as i know years ago they where linked to inflation but know Royal mail changed theres to RPI, know theres not much in the difference just means pensioners end up getting that little bit less every year but mean big savings to pension provider.
If you do go to Paris Rod consider a visit to the Catacombs, expensive at £100, but if you have never seen them well worth a visit, perhaps a good way to use your dividend?
Happy Christmas everyone.
Never mind Friday, £5 by Christmas, just not predicting which Christmas.
Say or think whatever you want fleccy you may have sentimental value for your shares but they will still only be worth what you can get if you sell them regardless of what you paid or how strong your feelings are towards them.
Simple thats the current share price so thats all they are worth any other opinion without inside information is just an opinion.
Could be its turned sideways and pawing at the ground like a bull getting ready to charge to £5, or more likely staying between £1 and £1.25 because thats all the shares worth.
Either they hate BT or they have just been and are accurate and honest?
In other words Rod you will stop until your start again?
Perhaps its a bit like the book or flim of catch 22, no prizes for guessing who would be sitting naked in a tree or trying to sell chocolate coated wool?
Finger toes and share certificates crossed you are right Butmac i seem to remember the same said years ago when BT shares dropped to £4.50.
