Very well said Rod and Aus3009 some great and very informative posts, only thing i am not so sure about is the Kracken members actually hateing of mature citizens and any one that does not agree with there narritive, perhaps its just a case of ASD, more a case of them out for themselves rather than out against posters with interigerity certainally there posts are hateful and show them up as pathetic perhaps more to be pitied.

Actually when i have read some posts where the kracken have been shown to be totally wrong or out of order and then use reflection, take a chill pill, thin skined or any number of silly sayings to basically say its your fault its not me but actually mean they know they have no integerity and are posting unjust, untrue and insulting posts but have neither the abiliy or even the wish to face there issues, there posts show there self centred mindset and pityful nature.

Old saying none so blind as those that do not want to see and i know it to be a waste of time trying reason with the unreasonable.

To those who keep posting in 5, 10 years every thing will be great, talk to any one who works in the emergency services or visit some one in a nurseing home or cancer ward, reality is not every one here will be around in 5 or 10 years reguardless of our physical age,so think again, only 2 things i am %100 sure of tax and mortality.

Sadly have to agree there is no discussion on this board. Either agree with the preset narritive or have childish insults posted. Gone are the days when there was some good natured fun and discussion with Bluepete etc.

Naritive is like a certain passed on preacher in N/Ireland who was famious for shouting at the top of his voice Never never never, just wonder why the UK government sold all of its shares in BT if they wanted to keep any control?, Conspiracy theorys most welcome as long as they are posted by certain members and they fit the naritive no matter how daft, actually surprised thought this the UK not in a Russia like state?

The narritive is BT are great every thing is going great and can not go bad , history sadly paints a different picture, again certain members post insults against against long term members that have been loyal and held there shares and at the same time praise other members that have been perhaps the bigest lossers because they agree with there naritive.

Can not say this is true but i hope it is, a BT customer known by all to be rude and selfish woke up after surgery in a dark privite ward with the blinds and curtains drawn.

He asked a nurse why the blinds and curtains where drawn and the nurse replied there is a fire oppisite the hospital and the doctors did not want you to think you where in hell when you awakened.

Interesting conspiracy theorie, actually thought that myself at times but again wonder how such could be kept secret?

Have also though that a bid would or should have came when SP was lower if one was forth comeing but then again even now with SP up %70 BT would perhaps be more likely for a bid as fiber is well under way and costs reduceing all the reasons you have kindly kept us up on.

My thoughts are if SP and dividend keep riseing great, if theres a bid or better still a biding war then SP goes up even more also great for share holders.

BT shareholder went to his doctors and asked again for a diet and complained that all the other diets did not work.

The fed up doctor just said best advice i can give you is just dont eat anything fatty.

The overweight shareholder said what you mean dont eat chips, butter, ant foods like sausages and pies?

Doctor said no fatty just dont eat anything.

SP up a few pence, great weather actually bit to hot and dry. have to fill bird bath every morning and evening and rewarded with many birds both drinking and splashing in it. Just a tip source a few old pennies or half pennies (pre decimal they are pure copper ) and keep them in bird bath keeps it a bit cleaner stops moss.

Was talking to a neighbour (traffic branch) he had just finished night shift, told me he was just starting his patrol when he seen some one he reconised as a BT engineer driveing in front of him.

Suddenly the engineer speeded up to well over 100mph and he had to call for assistance.

Cut long story short after a long night involveing many police vehicles includeing a helicopter they managed to stop the engineer.

The Engineer had not been drinking or under the infulence of drugs and when asked why he had drove so fast and evaded the police he said his wife had run of last year with a police officer and when he seen the police car in his mirrors he though the police where takeing her back.

Getting back to the copper pennies and half pennies jus a pity a few pence of a rise could not clean up some remarks?

One question, BT are reduceing staff, everyone knows the reasons and some staff may do very well and others very badly from this, my question is with reduced staff there follows a reduction in need for management will this reduction go all the way to the board of directors? A reduction of one member from the BOD in my view would be far more cost saveing than the loss of many that are actually generateing income for Bt.

There was a recent article about some division with BT engineers, one young hard working engineer was on hoiliday at a seaside resort and happened to look in an antique shop where he seen a bronze rat.

The shop owner said it was £20 for the rat and £20 for its story.

The young BT engineer said thanks but just the rat please, he paid his £20 and started back towards the seaside.

This is where things started to get interesting, as he passed a manhole 2 large real rats came out and started following him, then another few rats came out from another manhole and again joined in running after the engineer, he started walking faster and faster as more and more rats joined in but before he had gone a few hundred feet from the shop there where hundreds of rats running after him and he was running as fast as he could.

He found himself himself gasping for breath running at full speed towards the end of a pier, he then flung the bronze rat into the tide and scampered up a lamp post, all the rats ran of the pier into the sea and that was the end of them.

The exhausted young man walked back to the shop and was greeted by the shop owner who asked if he was back to buy the rats story, he said no i am just back to see if you would have a bronze figure of an old BT engineer?

Had high hopes for BT when Alison Kirkby was appointed Chief Executive and confidence in BT was reflected by the stock market however even with passing the milestone with fiber and winning the court case SP is again showing the lack in confidence the market has for BT.

Still fail to see why any share holder would not like a bid or biding war? Employees of BT have no more security now than they would if BT was taken over.

Unions are as powerful and useful as a WW1 K class sub, Thatcher seen to that.
