Ok, now its really bad today - and a lot lower than other shares I hold. It does not make any sense to me, but I too do not have much to base that on. Im holding for the long term.

It is the whole stock market. Most of my portfolio down the same amount.

Well just like the Pizza dough, it has risen nicely back to almost where it was before announcement.

Hi Riffgo, thanks for the analyses. It sounds plausible. In this scenario buying in today, there is a 20% swing, so a nice profit. Aside from Goldman, I expect the results may add a new level of resistance to the price as they announce progress on some of their long term projects such as the recycling facility. Long term I see growth for this company.

Hey Riffgo, what are Goldman up to now. I dont understand those announcements, have they bought or sold? Whats your sentiment now, looks like we have stabilised around 220.

No, other than it has been on a downward trajectory. And in the news, just seen Tesco profits up 28%, thought it might have lifted the sector. I want out of morrisons.

Good for you. My investment is from my pension, so if I sell, I would have to invest in something else.

Question is, what would you do with the money? I could sell mine, but GSK is offering me good income and diversification, and some buffering compared to other knee jerk shares. I put quite a high value on mine. next div in little over a month.

360 last week, now 325. It must be due to Brexit or wildly fluctuating paper prices or manipulation?

My only worry would be that the price drops after the dividend, as then the uncertainty really starts regarding future dividends, but I cant see a large company like Aviva not paying a good divi, and the wording was that divi growth would stop, so as long as it doesn't go backwards, i would be happy. I take a long term view with Aviva and would be happy to hold for a few years. I am still wanting to buy more, but my only option is to sell other shares, and the only ones I want to sell are at a loss. Im sure im not the only one! ha ha - I also noticed that Aviva are running radio adds now.

L&G seem relatively unaffected. Direct line not moved. Standard life not moved. Wonder why the problem with Aviva? Due to go ex div soon, and would offer a return of around 5% at current SP. Madness. I wish I had more money to buy in.

Keep posting the theories. I am considering buying more, i would be very happy if they drop a bit to assist that.

I really believe in the long term outlook for this company, which was why I was happy to hold them at a big loss back in January when they were 178p. Riffgo, do you think the current price is sustainable in the short term? I feel 220+ is a fairer value for this company.

I agree with you that 300 will be short lived. Anything over 290 will beat the dividend for me. It would be nice to have the option to sell, but I probably wont, L&G investment seems fairly stable which is all I am after in these volatile times.

Riotto10, my sentiments exactly. I sold at top today. Its got to go right sometimes :)
