I am holding BVC shares. I think the price has got to a point where it could bounce hard, on certain news. I also think if we dont get that news, then the price will keep dropping. Currently FY results are not going to be v good IMO, and this is why it is selling off still. I think buy backs are a good use of the capital here, and as a shareholder, I am pleased they are buying them, and if the price keeps dropping then we are getting a better deal on the buy back. The excess cash they are using is windfall from Covid really, which at the time the market valued at much higher. Doubt much will happen for a couple months now, its not in their interest to increase the SP for various reasons. I will take some more if we breach 18p, which is a very real possibility. One for the bottom drawer, looking at how they perform in 2023.

If that is a trading update, then they have no trade.

Commiserations to LTH. I came and read the board often throughout 2021 and 2022. I can remember 'missing out' on that huge rise to £3. This is disgraceful behaviour from the company, and poor publicity for the AIM market in general.
The writing was on the wall however, and when they announced that order recently it was still a gamble as they clearly lacked funds. Not sure why the placing was conducted at such a discount, maybe this will reveal it self in good time. Not a viable investment now under any circumstances.

This was why I thought the price ticked up yesterday, people buying back in for an announcement today.
Will it be Santa that delivers the next RNS or will it be Scrooge?

Since it is only costing 250k to 300k per million, I think they will buy a few more down here. Be nice if they could get a meaningful number, like 10M shares. That should only cost £2.5M.

Another buy back? Seems the right quantity.

May well be just supply and demand. The market forced it down on results day, flushed a few out, but in reality more buys than sells at this price, hence a rapid rise. Note it was Algo trades, that hoovered up the stock. However the bid was still at 450p so dont get too excited.

Hang on. The directors have spent 36k and 24k. Yes that is a lot of money, but no it isn't a huge vote of confidence either.
Had it of been 200k, id be excited. Remember we have been here before, with the last 2 directors buying in at (Saunders) 38p and (white) 41p. I honestly think that sometimes these things are necessary rather than a good investment. It may well be almost a free investment, if using the losses on capital gains allowance. Plus they will get options at some point, so can recoup this money what ever. I dont read anything positive in to recent events at Carclo.

Poor update, with no numbers. Random £222k share purchase gone to treasury. Now looking at circa £100M company, with £38M cash, enough cash for things to improve or more buy backs, so took a small amount, probably was the bottom for now, if they keep the momentum up. Virtually no downside buying in today, though not sure I will hold long. I guess Zvi has shown us where he thinks the bottom is.

We had an RNS yesterday which announced that Liontrust (Asset managers) had taken10% of EKF. I did some digging, as I thought a large transaction like that might have been more noticeable. I think they were on 9.79% previously. Although the RNS says previous position was 'blank'.

We can see some big trades coming through now, and even post the RNS, another trade dated for today. The ask is now a little above 45p, which has been quite a resistance. I think that is quite an accolade for EKF, when you listen to all these fund manager interviews on Vox Markets, a lot of these guys are talking about keeping dry powder, and how much is on offer from so many competing equities. Very happy that Liontrust are buying more here. I hold both. EKF my second largest position.

12 months ago this was 85p - fact. Today it is 22p. That is not manipulation. If you had held for the last 12 months you have lost 73% of your investment. You need a 233% return to break even. I liked this stock on paper last year, but for several reasons the market doesn't - don't fight the market. - Low earnings, Majority holders, Israel, R&D nature, mixed bag of products (no focus), no economic moat.

I cant understand it, why you would back this, when all you need to do is look around in the market, so many stocks are rising off the lows, and have been for the last 3 months. The prices are so low in small caps, you can get some decent - cash generative - stocks right now on PE's of 3 to 5. This is probably still well over priced on earnings.

Wish I hadn't sold on results day. Would of deffo sold today at that price. Extra 10 points 'right there'.

Another RNS..
on 6 December 2022 that, on the same date, Gary Bullard, Chairman, purchased 7,564 Ordinary Shares at a price of £3.99 per share and that Elaine Sullivan, a person closely associated to Gary Bullard, purchased 7,500 Ordinary Shares at a price of £4.05 per Ordinary Share.

I suspect that the placing will be over subscribed, and that they might issue even more shares. Its circa 20M shares currently. I think the market was waiting for this, and may now fully capitalise on it again at the retail investors expense. I have bought a few more, but not as many as I planned. Poor show, underwater again at TXP. Third time lucky?
